One of the more sought after mods in Once Human is the Large Brake, but it can be a hassle to find if you don’t know where to look.

First, you need to find the right riddle, and then you need to solve it. It’s in one of the more dangerous areas of the map too, so it’s best to be prepared before you seek it out. Here’s how to get the Large Brake in Once Human.

Where to find Large Brake in Once Human

You can find the Large Brake near the Forsaken Monolith in Red Sands. It’s along a road between the Monolith and Stinger’s Cove Frontier in Once Human.

In order to find the Large Brake, you need to locate the broken billboard puzzle and solve it before the box containing the mod appears.

How to solve Billboard puzzle

When you find the puzzle on the road, you need to approach the cones in the location we pointed out and press F to interact. Once you’ve interacted with the cones, you’ll be pointed to a sign that has been broken.

From here, try and line up the broken sign piece with the one behind it. The puzzle should resolve once you have lined the two pieces together so they form the full roadsign.

Once the puzzle has been solved, your quest marker will change and you’ll gain access to a loot box containing the Large Brake. You can see the box appear just in front of you on top of the small hill where the sign was.

What does Large Brake do in Once Human?

The Large Brake is a mod in Once Human that can be applied to SMGs, LMGs, and Sniper Rifles to reduce recoil.

There have been some reports that this quest is currently bugged, and even when you do line up the sign, it doesn’t register that you’ve completed the puzzle. In some cases, you may need to restart your game and try to interact with the cones again to get your loot.

Once Human has a lot of secrets to discover, so make sure you’re stocked up on Gold, Aluminum, and Silver so you can upgrade your gear to navigate into the more dangerous areas. And, if you’re looking for some more puzzles to solve, you can keep an eye out for the Rosetta truck that spawns occasionally.
