How to get Silver Ore in Once Human

Silver and Tin Ore in Once Human

As you get late into Once Human, upgrading your gear becomes more of a priority, and you’re going to need to find resources like Silver Ore to get stronger as you level up.

Silver Ore is one of the metals that doesn’t spawn consistently in specific areas, so it can be difficult to track down. So, here’s where to find it, how to mine it, and what you can use it for.

Where to find Silver Ore in Once Human

You can find Silver Ore in Once Human in the Dayton Wetlands near beaches, main roads, and rivers.

Silver Ore is most commonly found near Copper Ore deposits. It can look very similar to Tin and Aluminum, though, so make sure that you’ve got the right deposit before you start mining.

The rocks sticking out of the Silver deposits are slightly thicker than Tin, and Aluminum has more of a shine to it. You’ll need a Copper Pickaxe to mine Silver Ore.

Map of Dayton Wetlands in Once Human
Along the beach in Dayton Wetlands is one of the best spots to find Silver Ore.

Silver Ore can technically spawn all over the map, but we’ve found it the most in Dayton Wetlands. It’s a rarer metal which means that you may have more trouble finding it, so if you find a spot, return to it again after 30 min or so to see if it respawns for more mining.

To make the mining process easier, you can use Digby Boy Deviants to mine nodes, and you can return often to check what they’ve found.

How to get a Copper Pickaxe in Once Human

To get a Copper Pickaxe in Once Human, you need to first unlock it in the Memetics menu under Infrastructure. Once you have done that, you can craft it at a Supplies Workbench. You’ll need the following materials:

  • Logs (5)
  • Copper Ingot (7)
  • Hide (2)

Copper Ingots can be smelted from Copper Ore, which usually spawn close to Silver and Tin Ore as well. Look for it in wilder areas of the map like Forests.

What is Silver Ore used for?

You can use Silver Ore in to craft Silver Ingots and sell them in Once Human. Unlike a lot of other Ores, they are mostly used to make some extra cash.

There are some specializations that need Silver to craft special items, and some items also get different bonuses depending on the kind of material you use. Overall, though, it’s a solid way to earn Energy Links.

Since Silver Ore can really spawn anywhere, it’s best to know where to build your base so you can be close to any clusters of metals and gather resources effectively. You can also find Sproutlets if you run into an in-game event, which can help you buy weapon mods to be more efficient in the late game.
