Make your way to the southern part of Weeping Peninsula in Elden Ring, find the Isolated Merchant Shack, and buy the Zweihander from them for 6500 Runes. You can simply start heading south and follow the road from the starting Site of Grace itself in Limgrave.

The Zweihander is a rather powerful weapon due to its Strength-Dex scaling, and as it is a Colossal Sword, its base damage will increase massively with each upgrade in Elden Ring. As it uses normal Smithing Stones to be upgraded, it can go up to a +25.

Best Zweihander builds in Elden Ring

As there are no status effect build-ups with the Zweihander in Elden Ring, you don’t have to worry about any other stats like Arcane or Faith (unless you infuse it with such Ash of War). This is why, the best builds with the Zweihander comprise of Strength or Dex scaling builds.

You can infuse this weapon with various Ashes of War, so turning it into a Heavy or Fire weapon will make it scale better with Strength. However, if you are a Dex fan, feel free to infuse some Keen or Lightning Ash of War to make it scale better with Dexterity.
