How to play ARC Raiders alpha: Playtest sign up, platforms, more

ARC Raiders is an upcoming free-to-play multiplayer shooter that will hold a playtest for those who sign up. Here’s how to sign up and play the ARC Raiders alpha.

ARC Raiders is Embark Studio’s upcoming free-to-play online multiplayer extraction shooter that brings third-person, PvPvE action to players.

Set in a “lethal future earth,” which has been “ravaged by a mysterious mechanized threat known as ARC,” players will dive in and fight for loot and survival against the ARC machines as well as other players known as Raiders.

If extraction shooters are up your street, you’ll want to sign up for ARC Raider’s official alpha playtest for a chance to experience the game early. The game is set to be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, but the alpha is only available on PC.

Here’s how to sign up and play the ARC Raiders alpha playtest.

How to sign up for ARC Raiders alpha

To sign up for the ARC Raiders alpha, simply follow these steps:

1. Visit the ARC Raiders website.
2. Click the “Join the Alpha” button.
3. This will take you to the game’s Steam page.
4. Make sure you are signed into your Steam account.
5. Scroll down on the game page until you see “ARC Raiders Playtest” and select “Request Access.”
6. Congratulations, you are now successfully signed up for the ARC Raiders alpha.

After following these steps, you will have to wait for an email from Steam informing you that you have been selected for the alpha. You will then be able to download and experience the ARC Raiders playtest.

Embark Studios originally designed the game to not include PvP, but through the development process, they decided to turn ARC Raiders into an extraction shooter similar to Vigor, Escape from Tarkov, and Warzone 2’s DMZ.
