EA College Football 25 takes the NFL back to its roots and fans can even jump into the action early through a handful of different methods.

This lets football obsessives try out the various gameplay changes and new modes introduced before the July 19 release date.

So, here’s everything you need to know about early access in EA College Football 25.

EA College Football 25 early access explained

There are three different ways to get early access, which are:

  • Pre-order the EA College Football 25 Deluxe Edition
  • Pre-order the MVP Bundle
  • Subscribe to EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

However, each one works slightly differently and comes with different rules and restrictions. But don’t worry, we’ve broken down each one below.

Most EA Sports games offer some form of early access.

Pre-order Deluxe Edition

The way that most players will get early access is by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition of EA College Football 25 for $89.99 / £89.99. This version of the game lets you start playing on July 15, a few days before the rest of the world gains entry.

During this period, you’ll have access to the full range of features and modes with no limits to what you can do. So, if you want the cheapest way to hit the field ahead of time, this is the method for you.

Pre-order MVP Bundle

Alternatively, you could pre-order the MVP Bundle for a heftier $139.99 / £139.99 price tag. Doing this will grant you the same early access benefits as the previous method, starting on July 15, but it also includes early access to Madden 25.

This is because the bundle includes the Deluxe Edition of both games, coming packed with all of the benefits that an NFL fan would want. If you love football in all its forms and plan on buying both titles, then we recommend going all out on the MVP package.

EA Play

If you have an EA Play subscription, either as a standalone membership or as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you’re also entitled to play EA College Football 25 early. This also begins on July 15, but you’ll be able to spend 10 hours in the game as part of a trial.

During this time, all the modes and content will be available, but once the timer expires the app will lock again until the worldwide launch on July 19. The upside, however, is that you don’t have to have to purchase the game to access the trial, so you can test it out before committing to the purchase.

It’s also worth noting that EA Play members also get 10% off when buying EA Sports games, even if you only have a free trial, so keep that in mind when making your decision.

In the meantime, while you’re waiting for both EA College Football 25 and Madden 25, make sure you’re up to date on all the NFL Combine Interview answers and best Superstar builds in Madden 24.
