Starbreeze’s four-player co-op shooter, Payday 3, is set to release on September 21, 2023. However, you could drag the cast of retirees out for a heist earlier via a closed beta. Here is all we know about the Payday 3 closed beta coming up.

One of the most popular first-person co-op franchises is yet again ready to let the sirens echo through the banks with Payday 3. Based on all we know, heists in Payday 3 are going to be even louder, all the while feeling familiar to its 10-year-old predecessor. 

All the cast members from the previous games are back from retirement for the upcoming installment. If you can’t wait for Payday 3, you can don the clown mask earlier before the game even releases.

Payday 3 closed beta start & end dates

The closed beta for Payday 3 starts on August 3 and will run until August 7, 2023.

While Payday 3 will release on all platforms, the closed beta will only be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. 

How to register & sign-up for Payday 3 closed beta

You can register for Payday 3’s closed beta through Steam or the Xbox Insider Hub. 

• Steam: Visit Payday 3’s store listing. Scroll down a little, and just below all the Add to Cart buttons, there should be a new “Request Access” button. Click it and you’re all set. 
• Xbox Insider Hub: Navigate to previews and search for Payday 3.

Obviously, you need to be part of the Xbox Insider program if you want the beta on your Xbox. You can download the Xbox Insider Hub app to be part of it. Players with Xbox consoles, just need to search for “Xbox Insider Hub” in the store. 

You can access the Payday 3 beta only if you’re invited, and the invite will be given via email. Invites are said to be handed out randomly and even if you pre-order, you’re not guaranteed access according to the developers.

The Payday 3 closed beta will include the “No Rest for the Wicked” heist, and the original crew of, Dallas, Hoxton, Chains, and Wolf. The progression you make won’t carry over, and you’ll be capped at Infamy level 22.
