How to teleport in 7 Days to Die
The Fun Pimps7 Days to Die doesn’t have an inherent fast travel system, but there are ways that you can teleport across the map to make things a little easier for yourself and your friends.
Depending on your world size, crossing the map can be time-consuming, especially when you’re looking for Traders and new Biomes. So, here is how to teleport in 7 Days to Die.
How to teleport in 7 Days to Die on PC
You can teleport in 7 Days to Die through the debug menu on PC. Press F1 to open it, then type ‘dm’ and press enter. Then follow these steps:
- Once debugging is active, exit the menu.
- Press escape.
- Navigate to ‘Open POI Teleporter’ and select it.
- Look through the POIs and choose which one you want to teleport to.
If you don’t want to teleport to a specific POI, then you can also teleport to random locations on the map. Here’s how to do it:
- While debugging is active, open your map by pressing M.
- Scroll to the area you want to teleport to.
- Click on the area while holding down CTRL.
You don’t have to have found any of the Points of Interest you can teleport to, but achievements will be disabled while you have the debug menu active. So, if you want to still get achievements, make sure to deactivate it when you’re done teleporting.
How to teleport other players to your location in 7 Days to Die
It’s easy for players to lose each other in 7 Days to Die, and it can be quite a mission to find each other afterward. There is, however, a way to easily find your friends using the debug menu:
- Press F1 and type dm to enable debugging.
- Type teleportplayer [steam id] [steam id] [x y z] [view direction]
- Hit enter.
Alternatively, you can also ask the other player to give their exact coordinates to you and then type ‘teleport’ followed by those coordinates to TP to their location. You can also just simply use their Steam ID to teleport to their location.
Can you teleport on console?
Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to teleport on console in 7 Days to Die. You need the debug menu and console commands to do it, and the debug menu can’t be activated on platforms outside of PC.
In that case, it’s best to invest in a vehicle to make sure that you can get from place to place fairly easily. If you’re with a friend, you can also share coordinates or meet up at the nearest Trader to both of you to find each other.
