Bandai Namco’s iconic 3D fighting series is back with Tekken 8, and it features full crossplay support. But, if for some reason you want to disable it, or want to enable it again, here’s how you can do it.

Tekken 8 has plenty of single-player as well as multiplayer modes to try out, and some returning modes like Tekken Ball are also best played with friends. Outside of all the staples that you’d expect in a Tekken game, Tekken 8 has made plenty of new additions as well as accessibility changes.

Like most other modern games, Tekken 8 also supports full cross-play between all available platforms. Just as you start the game, it will ask you whether you want cross-platform play on or off.

In case you’ve made the wrong choice and want to either enable or disable crossplay now, here’s how to do it.

How to turn crossplay on or off in Tekken 8

To turn off crossplay in Tekken 8, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Option.
  2. Select Game Option Settings right at the top.
  3. You’ll see an option to turn Cross-platform Play on or off, depending on what you want.

Whenever you queue for certain game modes, like Quick Match and Ranked matches, you’ll always get the option to select crossplay preference in front of you.

It is generally recommended to turn crossplay on for faster matchmaking, especially when you’re playing on platforms that have fewer players, like Xbox.

That’s everything you need to know about how to disable or enable crossplay in Tekken 8. For more on the game, check out:
