Landfall Publishing have launched their latest multiplayer horror title, Content Warning, allowing you to attempt to go viral by filming yourself in spooky situations.

If you’re looking to experience the horrors with your friends, and want to find out if Content Warning is free-to-play, here’s all you need to know.

How long is Content Warning free-to-play for?

Content Warning is free to play on April 1, for 24 hours only, until 9 AM PT/ 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST on April 2. You can add this game to your Steam Library for free during this period, allowing you to hop in anytime in the future as well.

Once this period ends, Content Warning will be available to purchase on Steam for $7.99 / £6.69. It’s worth noting that if you’ve got this game for free, you can’t earn its Steam Trading Cards.

On Content Warning’s Steam page, there’s an announcement by the devs shedding light on the game’s free to play status:

“Every year for April 1st aka Landfall Day we do something special, this year we’re releasing Content Warning for free for anyone who downloads it between now 9 AM PT and 9 AM PT tomorrow April 2nd.”

While it’s too early to call the game a success, it’s interesting to see Content Warning making its way to the top spots on Steam Charts already.
