Is Skull and Bones on Steam Deck?
Valve/UbisoftIf you’re wondering whether Skull and Bones is on Steam Deck, here’s everything you need to know about the pirate adventure’s availability on Valve’s handheld device.
Skull and Bones is finally here, after several delays, since being announced back in 2017. While it does have reasonable system requirements, Skull and Bones misses out on last-gen consoles.
Most of the Ubisoft titles, like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, aren’t on Steam, which makes playing on Steam Deck a challenge in itself. But has that all changed for Skull and Bones?
Here’s all you need to know about Skull and Bones being available on Steam Deck.
Can you play Skull and Bones on Steam Deck?
No, Skull and Bones isn’t available on the Steam Deck, as the title is not available on Steam.
While you can install Ubisoft Connect on Steam Deck, with Skull and Bones being current-gen exclusive, performance may be a big issue. Even the PC specs are on the higher end for Steam Deck.
The only way the title will be playable on Steam Deck is if Ubisoft themselves decide to optimize for Valve’s handheld and get a Verified badge. However, given the publisher’s past trends, it’ll take at least a year for it to even find its way onto Steam, so there is less chance of it being supported on Steam Deck.
Of course, should the title ever find its way onto Steam and become playable on the Steam Deck, we’ll be sure to update this article. Until then, for more on Skull and Bones as well as other Ubisoft’s latest blockbusters, check out:
