Is Skull and Bones on Xbox Game Pass?
UbisoftSkull and Bones is available on Ubisoft+ but what about Xbox Game Pass? Here’s whether Ubisoft’s pirate adventure is also available on Microsoft’s subscription service.
While Xbox Game Pass already has a pirate game in Sea of Thieves, Skull and Bones is a completely different game, focusing more on the ship aspect. Because of its heavy focus on ships, it features deeper ship customization and combat.
Skull and Bones was initially meant to be a DLC to 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but being limited to ship gameplay means there is no meaningful single-player campaign or on-foot combat. Still, there is a lot on offer, from quests to bosses, as well as PvP gameplay.
If you’re on the fence, however, here’s whether Skull and Bones is available on Xbox Game Pass.
Is Skull and Bones available on Xbox Game Pass?
No, Skull and Bones isn’t available on Xbox Game Pass. Ubisoft have their own subscription service, Ubisoft+, and if you subscribe to Ubisoft+ Premium (priced at $17.99/£14.99 monthly) you’ll get access to the Premium Edition of the game.
Ubisoft+ being available in Xbox Game Pass means fewer chances for Skull and Bones being available on day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Although, it is extremely likely that Skull and Bones will eventually be available on Xbox Game Pass. Most of the Ubisoft biggest blockbusters that are around two years old, like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6, are available on Game Pass.
So even though Skull and Bones isn’t yet announced to be part of Xbox Game Pass, we can reasonably expect it to eventually arrive on the subscription, but it might take a couple of years.
