Street Fighter 6 has been a hot topic in the gaming world. The iconic fighting franchise’s next installment has fans buzzing with questions, one of the most prominent being about its cross-platform capabilities.
In an era where multi-platform accessibility has become the norm, will Street Fighter 6 offer crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC? And what about cross-progression? We’ll break down what we know so far about these features.
Does Street Fighter 6 feature crossplay?
Street Fighter 6 will feature crossplay between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC when it launches on June 2, 2023. This means that players will be able to connect through multiplayer no matter what system they are playing Street Fighter 6 on.
Players will be able to cross-play in online modes such as the Fighting Ground and Battle Hub. In fact, crossplay is even available in the Open Beta running on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
It’s important to note that while Street Fighter 6 will be cross-plat between PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the game is not coming to Xbox One and it’s unclear whether PS4 players will be able to connect with PS5. As more information is released we’ll be sure to update this piece.
Does Street Fighter 6 have cross-progression?
Cross-progression in Street Fighter 6 has not yet been confirmed. This feature would allow players to carry over their game progress and unlocks between different platforms.
There hasn’t been any official confirmation from Capcom about whether Street Fighter 6 will feature cross-progression between PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but we’ll be sure to update this piece if any new information is released.
