Lords of the Fallen Pieta boss fight

Lords of the Fallen can be a pretty difficult game if you are new to the souls-like genre, and the first boss Pieta, does not really help in making it any easier. So here’s how to defeat Pieta, She of Blssed Renewal in Lords of the Fallen easily.

Lords of the Fallen is a new souls-like action RPG title, made by Hexworks in association with CI Games. After their first venture into the genre in 2014 with its prequel of the same name, this game has tried to mend everything its predecessor was lacking.

Staying true to the genre, LOTF does not have any difficulty options and is considerably difficult for anyone who is not an out-and-out souls veteran. This is why, it is likely that many people will have a hard time getting past the first major storyline boss in the game, Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal.

Here’s how to defeat her in Lords of the Fallen quite easily.

How to defeat Pieta, She of Blssed Renewal in Lords of the Fallen

The key idea behind defeating Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal in Lords of the Fallen is to wait for openings in between her long wind-ups to attack. Keeping in mind this simple idea is enough to get past at least her first phase.

Make sure that you have invested a fair amount of skill points for your HP as it will be essential during this boss fight. As you enter the arena and engage her in a fight, you will notice that she will have a standard 4x combo with the last hit being unpredictably delayed.

Pay heed to her beam and ground-smashing attacks as they are extremely dangerous and most of your HP can be lost if you are not careful enough during these attacks. Although farming Fire Salts can be a bit tedious in such an early stage of the game, they can be great for inflicting more damage on her in Lords of the Fallen.

Pieta can be a formidable enemy in the early game.

Once she loses approximately a quarter of her HP, she will transition into her second phase. Now she has wings to fly around and will be much more aggressive than before. Additionally, she will also be more resistant to damage than her first phase.

The idea more or less remains the same, that is to dodge away from her telegraphed attacks and charge in one or two hits to trickle down her HP. Make sure that you stay away from her light spear attack, where hundreds of light spears will slam into the ground from above, alongside her slam attacks.

Eventually, she will summon two clones for a few seconds that will shower light spears in a straight line in the arena. Dodge out of the area before they hit you, otherwise you are likely to be dead almost instantly.

Take your time in defeating the boss, there is no need to rush. The fight follows the customary hit-and-run souls mechanics so you should be able to get it down sooner or later. Parrying always helps, but it is likely that you will still not be well-versed with the timing this early in the game.

This was everything you had to know about defeating Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal in the Lords of the Fallen.
