Mass Effect Legendary Edition announced: release date, content, more
The Mass Effect Legendary Collection has been announced by publisher EA, which includes the first three games, fully remastered.
Today, February 2, 2021, EA tweeted a surprise trailer for the long-awaited remaster of the original Mass Effect games, that launched back in 2007, 2010, and 2012 respectively. All of the games have been completely overhauled, now supporting native 4k resolution and HDR.
Models have seen beautiful reworks, visuals are much more crisp and bright when compared to the original game, and the player UI has also been updated to be minimal. You can watch the trailer below.
Price, Platforms & Release Date
The Mass Effect Legendary Edition will launch on Xbox One and PS4. Both game versions will have support for next-generation systems.
It will also launch on PC for both the Steam and Origin platform. The game will cost $59.99 on all platforms and will release on May 14, 2021. You can pre-order now using the links below.
Exclusive Collectors Edition
Launching with the Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a special collectors edition, the “Legendary Cache.” Included with this $149.99 package are a full replica N7 helmet, art steel book, collectible pins, canvas art print, and an N7 acceptance letter.

According to the BioWare Store, the collector’s edition will be sent out during May 2021, so we’re not certain if it will arrive on the release date of the game.
