EA Sports is ready for the highly anticipated official release of the new NHL 24. Some fans of the popular hockey franchise are already enjoying all the new features and changes and playing all their game modes throughout the NHL 24 early access.

NHL 24 release date and time
The official release date for NHL 24 is October 6 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST. This was confirmed by EA Sports on their official website.
EA SportsWho is the NHL 24 cover athlete?
Cale Makar is the cover star in NHL 24. This was one of the first details that EA Sports unveiled about the game.
The Colorado Avalanche star is considered one of the best defensemen in the NHL. In his four seasons, the Canadian won the Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year, the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman, and the 2021-22 Conn Smythe Trophy as playoffs MVP during the Avalanche’s Stanley Cup championship run.
All new NHL 24 gameplay features
EA Sports introduced a plethora of new features and gameplay changes in NHL 24. Standouts include a new Exhaust Engine, which is further divided into two aspects: The Sustained Pressure system and the Goalie Fatigue system.
Both new systems aim to enhance the effectiveness of offensive plays, either by temporarily boosting the stats of the attackers or decreasing those of the defensive team.
With the new Golie Fatigue System, the defending goalkeeper will begin to fatigue more quickly after a sequence of successful interventions, increasing the attackers’ chances of scoring on a second or third attempt.
EA SportsIn addition to these changes, EA Sports announced that NHL 24 received an overhaul of the physics-based technology to provide players with a more immersive and realistic experience in movements and collisions between players.
The devs also announced an enhancement to the Goalie Instinct system, adding over 15 new animations for goalkeepers and improving their performance on the ice.
NHL 24 available platforms
NHL 24 is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One consoles.

NHL fans can choose either of the NHL 24 editions: Standard edition and X-Factor edition. The NHL 24 Standard Edition costs $69.99/£69.99 for next-gen consoles (PS5 & Xbox Series X|S), while for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the price is set at $59.99/£59.99.
