Palworld is the brand-new survival game that’s dominating 2024. Players are dropped onto the Palpagos Islands and tasked with gathering useful resources in order to build bases and craft weapons to help keep them alive.

The main attraction, however, is the many Pals wandering the map which can be caught, drawing plenty of comparisons with Pokemon. Just like a Shiny in the games that inspired it, Palworld also features rarer versions of each species called Lucky Pals, but what are the odds of finding one?

How rare are Lucky Pals in Palworld?

Unlike Pokemon, there are no set odds for getting a Lucky Pal in Palworld. However, the experiences of most players seem to suggest that you should come across one every 10 hours or so, meaning you should be able to build up a collection fairly quickly.

Of course, this is completely random so it could vary from player to player. Some have reported finding a lucky Pal early on in their save, while others have gone dozens of hours without finding any special versions.

Pokemon players will be well aware that the Shiny odds in Pokemon Go are around one in 450 to one in 500, with special events and Raids boosting the chances. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to dissect the odds of Lucky Pals in Palworld in a simple way like this.

Every Pal in the game has the chance to spawn as a Lucky, aside from Legendary Pals, but it’s unclear if there are any ways to improve your chances. So, for now, at least, players will have to keep their fingers crossed and hope they stumble upon a Lucky Pal naturally.

Lucky Pals are stronger versions of the base species, featuring a 15% boost to their attack power and work rate, making them invaluable both in battle and helping out around your base.
