Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance features two separate routes called the Canon of Creation and the Canon of Vengeance. As with many JRPGs, your story will depend on the route you pick, since each path has different endings and characters.

Which route should you choose in SMTV: Vengeance?

In Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, you’ll encounter a whole new game mode that differs from the original story released in 2021.

In the Canon of Creation route, you’ll get to play the same story featured in the original version, which will focus on the war between demons and angels. This path splits into a few sub-routes that you’ll need to choose before the end of the game.

However, in the Canon of Vengeance, you’ll get a story that’s focused on the new antagonist called Qadistu. While the war between good and evil is still happening in this route, only the decisions you make will be the ones that decide which ending you’ll get.

You will also get to meet a new character, Yoko Hiromine, who only appears in this narrative.

You can pick different Canons depending on which story you want to play.
