Jinhsi and Changli in Wuthering Waves

The introduction of Jinhsi and Changli is by far the biggest selling point of Wuthering Waves’ 1.1 update. However, most players will be looking to pull for at least one of them, and here’s who you can choose based on your playstyle.

With Wuthering Waves version 1.1 set to be released on June 28, the hype for the two new upcoming characters, Jinhsi and Changli, has been going through the roof. However, since both are 5-star resonators, pulling for them might not be a very cheap venture for many.

So if you are looking just to get one of them, here’s everything you need to know about them to decide on your favorite character.

Wuthering Waves: Should you get Jinhsi or Changli

We recommend going for Changli as she can buff other resonators too, according to the leaks in Wuthering Waves. But of course, choosing the right character is mostly dependent on your playstyle, and both of them are 5-star resonators, so choosing either of them based on your playstyle should be the way to go.

Changli’s playstyle explained in Wuthering Waves

According to the leaks, Changli is set to be a sub-DPS character in Wuthering Waves, with an Outro Skill that really resembles Yinlin’s outro, as it is set to boost the Fusion damage of the next switched-in resonator by 20%, and Resonance Liberation damage by 25%.

So if you love quick swap teams with a strong sub-DPS character, Changli might just be the perfect option for you. Additionally, it makes sense to pair her up with a Fusion DPS character, and Encore will be the ideal fit for it.

Alongside her buffing stats, she is set to have some of the best Fusion DPS stats in the game as well, and considering her Sword has a passive Crit Rate buildup stat to it as well, it’s a no-brainer that she can turn out to be one of the best overall resonators in Wuthering Waves.

With both Changli and Verina, Encore will be turned into a massive powerhouse as well, so make sure that you are teaming them up together to maximize your firepower. For Echoes, of course, try and get the Inferno Rider Crit Damage/Crit Rate set with ATK for both Encore and Changli.

Being a sub-DPS buffer with high damage makes her really future-proof, and chances are that upcoming characters might not power-creep her right away in Wuthering Waves.

If you use Yinlin with Calcharo, you probably already know how to play with a powerful sub-DPS. So, if Yinlin and her kit match your playstyle, you should definitely pull for Changli in this update.

Possible team layout: Encore (main DPS), Changli (sub-DPS), and Verina (healer and buffer).

Jinhsi’s playstyle explained in Wuthering Waves

Jinhsi in Wuthering Waves
Jinhsi is the Magistrate of Jinzhou in Wuthering Waves.

In Wuthering Waves version 1.1, Jinhsi is expected to be a Spectro DPS character, just like Spectro Rover, thanks to a multitude of leaks floating around online. With her entire kit and burst animations leaked as well, she is set to be one of the strongest characters in the game due to the ability to summon Jue.

Jinhsi will reportedly be equipped with a Broadblade, so if you prefer using Calcharo or Taoqi, she might just be the best resonator of choice for you. Most importantly, with her Resonance Liberation being literally summoning Sentinel Jue, it’s quite possible to work with her in a quick swap scenario.

Additionally, Jinhsi is set to be only the third Spectro character in Wuthering Waves, with Spectro Rover and Verina being the other two, so if you are a Spectro fan, maybe you should just go for her.

But do note that Jinhsi will likely not provide any buffs for other resonators in your team, so make sure you have a nice sub-DPS and buffer to maximize her damage. Additionally, there’s also a chance of her being powercrept in the future as her ATK is her only forte for now.

Possible team layout: Jinhsi (main DPS), Sanhua (sub-DPS), and Verina (healer and buffer)

Keep in mind that Kuro Games have not yet released official information on these resonators’ playstyles and kits, and we have based everything on the leaks that are floating on the internet. However, with even their burst animations and outros leaked, it’s likely only a matter of time before their kits are made official.
