The Sims 4 is one of the most mod-friendly games out there, and Slice of Life has content and features meant to add that extra level of realism that players feel may be lacking in the base game. 

The mod was created by KawaiiStacie, who has done other mods like Hair Salon, Mochi Fridge, and more. Here is where you can find and install Slice of Life in The Sims 4, and all the features you can expect to come with it. 

Where to find & install Slice of Life in The Sims 4

You can find and install the The Sims 4 Slice of Life mod by visiting KawaiiStacie’s website and downloading the mod from there.

KawaiiStacie’s website has two options that let you download the Slice of Life mod, namely through their Patreon or through SimFileShare. Step by step, here is how to install it: 

1. Download the Slice of Life Mod. 
2. Extract or Unzip the file. 
3. Take the entire folder and put it in your Sims 4 mods folder. 
4. Make sure custom content and script files are enabled in Sims 4. 
5. To test the mod, open Sims 4 and click on a mirror or mailbox.

Your mods folder can be found by navigating through Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Mods. If you don’t have a folder like this, then you can easily create one yourself to keep your mods stored together. 

To enable custom content in The Sims 4, open your game and navigate to Options > Game Options > Other and enable custom content and script files. Make sure to click on ‘Apply Changes’ so your settings are saved. 

Sims 4 Slice of Life mod features

The Sims 4 Slice of Life mod has a few features that aim to make health, beauty, and overall gameplay a little more realistic than the base game. 

Here are a few features you can expect once you install the Slice of Life mod: 

Health features 

Your Sims will get some health issues that include colds, allergies, and more. Do not worry, though, because you will also get a detailed recovery process to help you get past these health issues. 

Self Woohoo 

The Slice of Life mod allows Sims to Woohoo while they are alone. Other Sims will also react to this interaction if they witness it. 

Beauty features 

New beauty features will let your Sims apply makeup, style their hair, and buy new outfits. You can also invest in some skin routines, and other Sims will react to the changes you make. 

Alcohol features 

The Slice of Life mod introduces some more realistic alcohol consumption behaviors to the game. There are different states of drunkenness that have unique interactions and consequences. 

If there are any features that you don’t want included in the Slice of Life mod, then you are able to delete them from the folder. They won’t appear in your game, and you will be able to enjoy the rest of the mod without worrying about features you didn’t like.
