Now that Star Wars: Hunters has finally launched on Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, thousands of players have jumped in to unlock the many characters and master each class. While it’s possible to emulate the game on PC, you might be feeling a little left out if you’re a console player.
So, is Star Wars: Hunters coming to PlayStation and Xbox? Here’s everything we know.
Will Star Wars: Hunters come to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S?
There are no plans to release Star Wars: Hunters on PlayStation and Xbox consoles at the time of writing. The game is fairly straightforward to play and doesn’t push the boundaries in terms of visuals, so it’s well suited to less powerful systems like Android, iOS, and Switch.
It’s hard to rule out a PlayStation and Xbox version completely, but it definitely won’t be any time soon. Design Director, Scott Warner, was asked about other platforms in an interview with Radio Times, to which he replied: “We don’t really have any plans right now.”
“We’ve kind of gone from shooters always being a second-screen experience, to games proving that you could actually play them on the phone,” he continued. “And our company president believed that this was kind of a key category wanted to be in.”
So, for the time being, you’ll need to download Star Wars: Hunters on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android devices if you want to visit Vespaara. Luckily, it’s completely free to jump in and play aside from in-game purchases, so you can try it out on your phone or Switch without splashing any cash.
