Here’s everything you need to know about Star Wars: Hunters.

Star Wars: Hunters release date

Star Wars: Hunters arrives worldwide on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. The game was originally announced back in 2021, before a soft launch took place in various regions in 2022, including Australia, New Zealand, and a handful of other countries.

Despite this initial rollout, the global release date has seen multiple delays, but fans will finally be able to get their hands on the shooter very soon.

Star Wars: Hunters platforms

Star Wars: Hunters is coming to mobile platforms and Nintendo Switch, meaning you’ll need iOS, Android, or Nintendo’s handheld to play the game. At the time of writing, developer Zynga haven’t revealed any plans for a console port, so it appears that PlayStation and Xbox owners will miss out at launch.

That being said, the devs also haven’t ruled out the possibility of releasing Hunters on more platforms later down the line.

Is Star Wars: Hunters free to play?

Yes, Star Wars: Hunters is a free-to-play title that can be downloaded from the Google Play, Apple, or Nintendo store for no extra cost. However, there are in-game items that can be purchased with real money, such as new skins for characters and weapons.

What is Star Wars: Hunters?

Star Wars: Hunters is a third-person arena shooter that pits teams of four against each other in fast-paced matches. Each map is inspired by an iconic Star Wars location that fans will recognize, from Tattooine to the ice planet Hoth.

There are multiple game modes to test out, from Squad Brawl (Team Deathmatch) and Power Control (Hardpoint) to Trophy Chase and Huttball – a football-inspired playlist where fans need to get a ball into the enemy team’s goal.

You have the choice of 12 different characters that are broken into three different classes – Tank, Damage, and Support. Each comes with a unique set of abilities, a passive, and an Ultimate that suits their playstyle, whether it’s long-range combat or getting in the other team’s face.

Star Wars: Hunters characters

There are 12 characters in Star Wars: Hunters at launch, with even more set to arrive in future updates. The lineup of playable Hunters consists purely of new faces, so you won’t find the likes of Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan here.
