Undisputed: Release date, platforms, roster, more
Steel City InteractiveUndisputed, the authentic boxing sim from Steel City, has caught the eye of fans who’ve been aching for a game to take up Fight Night’s mantle. So, here’s everything you need to know about Undisputed, including its release date, platforms, and more.
There’s been quite the drought in the boxing sim genre, with the last major release on consoles being 2010’s Fight Night Champion. While EA are yet to clarify the series’ future, Steel City’s Undisputed is set to breathe new life into the genre.
The game has been on Steam early access for more than a year now, but its full release is now on the horizon. So, if you’re eager to step inside the virtual ring, here’s everything you need to know about Undisputed, including its release date, platforms, and more.

Undisputed release date
The full version of Undisputed will be released on October 11, 2024. The date was confirmed through an official release date announcement trailer.
The game has been available on PC through Steam early access since January 31, 2023.
Undisputed platforms
Undisputed is already available on PC through Steam, and the full release is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The devs are yet to share information on a potential Nintendo Switch release, and it appears that the game is skipping PS4 and Xbox One entirely.
The choice to skip last-gen machines isn’t surprising, considering the game boasts some hefty system requirements on PC.
Undisputed cover stars
Mexican legend Canelo Alvarez is the cover star for Undisputed Standard Edtion, while the Gypsy King, Tyson Fury, graces the cover of the Deluxe Edition.
Recent trailers for the title have featured both superstars, with the release date trailer displaying a close look at their character models.
Undisputed gameplay
Undisputed opts for realistic gameplay, unlike the arcade-like approach of the Fight Night games. The camera is honed in on the fighters to emphasize the impact of every punch. Fights are slow and methodical, with the focus being on wearing down opponents before scoring a crucial knockdown or attempting a knockout.
Stamina management is extremely important, as a flurry of whiffed punches will see your bar deplete entirely, leaving you vulnerable to counters. This system encourages players to engage tactfully and retreat when they sense danger. Bobbing and weaving are also part of the combat, but you’ll have to master your timing to make use of these mechanics.
The core gameplay experience does feel like it’s designed with pro boxing enthusiasts in mind, but there’s plenty of fun to be had for casual fans of the sport.
In the full version, Undisputed will feature more than 70 licensed fighters, including modern-day great and all-time legends. The game also has WBC-licensed championship belts, arenas, and more.
