What is Cerim’s Crucible in No Rest for the Wicked?
Cerim’s Crucible is an endgame roguelike dungeon in No Rest for the Wicked, inspired by the first Diablo.
The Crucible will only be accessible once you have completed the main campaign of No Rest for the Wicked in early access. Once you have done so, you can head to the Crucible and give it a try.
How to start Cerim’s Crucible in No Rest for the Wicked
No Rest for the Wicked players can start Cerim’s Crucible by offering Fallen Embers to a statue in a special area once they have completed the main story. Then you will be put in a dungeon with 10 randomized rooms that increase in difficulty as you continue.
In the full release, Moon Studios devs shared in an interview with Game Informer that they plan to have multiple statues you can access the Cerim’s Crucible from. For now, while the game is in early access, players will only have one statue with more to be added during the course of development.
How to complete Cerim’s Crucible in No Rest for the Wicked
To complete Cerim’s Crucible in No Rest for the Wicked, you need to complete each room in the dungeon.
When you enter the dungeon, you will face 10 randomized rooms that each offer a different kind of challenge. The challenges are also randomized, so you can run into rooms where you need to solve a puzzle and others where you need to complete a platforming challenge.
There will, of course, also be rooms where you just need to defeat enemies. You will never know which enemies are coming at you, though, so it will be best to be as prepared as possible when you enter.
Moon Studios have not yet shared what we can expect once you reach the end of the Crucible, however. Since it’s been heavily inspired by Diablo and Hades, though, we can possibly expect a difficult boss fight of some description.
Cerim’s Crucible rewards in No Rest for the Wicked
Once you have completed Cerim’s Crucible in No Rest for the Wicked, you will get exclusive loot and materials that are required to craft upgrades.
This is meant as an incentive to keep doing the Crucible, making it a necessary activity for players to complete if they want the best equipment.
The loot will also be randomized, which means you will actually have to complete multiple runs to get everything you need for weapon and armor upgrades. Eventually, Moon Studios devs intend to implement more challenges to Crucible statues in exchange for better loot.
