WoW Turtle is a standalone game that’s based on the lore established by World of Warcraft and Warcraft 3. Although it isn’t officially made by Blizzard, the lore of the game continues from what was seen in the original WoW and branches off in a different direction without going into the Burning Crusade expansion.

This game also features two new classes, giving you the freedom to explore new playstyles while exploring a totally different storyline.

How to install and play WoW Turtle on Windows

Here’s what you need to do to play WoW Turtle:

Windows

1. Head over to the Turtle WoW website and make an account for yourself.
2. From the website, download the files for the game.
3. Wait for the download to finish and then extract the game files at a location of your choice.
4. Head into the game files, and launch the WoW.exe.
5. On the screen that opens, enter your account credentials and head into the game.

How to install and play WoW Turtle on Mac

Mac (M1/M2)

For M1 or M2 Macs, you can play this game by setting up a Windows Virtual Machine through Parallels. Once you’ve set up the VM, follow the instructions for Windows as mentioned above.

Mac (Intel)

If you have a Mac with Intel chipsets, here’s what you need to do:

1. Download and install Porting Kit.
2. Once you’ve finished doing that, open Porting Kit and click on “Add Application.”
3. Select the Turtle WoW executable.
4. At the “Advanced Settings” screen, set the Engine Version to WS11WineCX64Bit19.0.2.
5. Run Turtle WoW through Porting Kit after the installation is complete.

Is Turtle WoW free-to-play?

Yes, Turtle WoW is completely free to play, and you do not need to make any purchases to enjoy the game on your PC.
