After more than a year since its announcement, the Phasmophobia devs have given players a release window for the console port of the game.

Phasmophobia has seen many updates since its release into early access, but the one many fans have been eagerly awaiting is when it’ll come to consoles. Here’s everything we know about the release window, which consoles it’ll be available on, and more.

Phasmophobia console release window

The console port for Phasmophobia will be released during the 2024 Halloween Event, according to a recent blog post made by Kinetic Games.

In 2023, the Halloween event started on October 26, so we can expect it to be released around the same time this year as well. This means that we could see the console port anytime between October 26 and October 31, 2024. But it could also arrive earlier.

Console updates

Phasmophobia will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Playstation VR2

This was originally announced in a trailer released in July 2023, where Kinetic Games revealed the consoles that they’re planning to develop the game for. This does confirm that it’ll only be available on next-gen consoles.

Players on console will have to use the Text Input for Voice Recognition on release, but the devs have said that they’re working on changing this soon after it releases.

In terms of future content, Phasmophobia is still getting a major overhaul to Grafton Farmhouse, which the devs have also said will come after the console update is out. All platforms will release on the 0.10 version that the game is currently on.

Is Phasmophobia coming to Xbox Game Pass?

No, right now there are currently no plans for Phasmophobia to come to Xbox Game Pass.

This doesn’t mean that it won’t be available in the future, especially considering that the game is still in early access.

Price increase

Phasmophobia’s price is increasing to $19.99 across all platforms later this year.

In the blog post, the devs explained that this is due to all the new content that has been added since its initial release.

Will Phasmophobia have crossplay?

Once the Phasmophobia console update is out, there will be crossplay available for players across all platforms, including PC.

While you wait for the update, there are a ton of challenges you can try out, including the Easter Egg to find at the new Point Hope Lighthouse location. If you still haven’t given it a try, make sure to check where you can find all the Cursed Possessions before you do to make the game a little easier.
