World of Warcraft: The War Within is the first part of the new Worldsoul Saga trilogy, which invites players to delve into the new underground realm of Khaz Algar, explore new dungeons, and much more.

World of Warcraft: The War Within – Release date & early access
World of Warcraft: The War Within will be released on August 26, 2024, and will be available for PC (Windows & macOS.)
The first part of the Worldsoul Saga trilogy will also be available early on August 23, 2024, for players who purchase the World of Warcraft: The War Within Epic Edition, and the World of Warcraft: The War Within Collectors Edition.
WoW: The War Within – Story explained
World of Warcraft: The War Within invites players to discover a new underground realm called Khaz Algar, located in the furthest region of Pandaria’s western shores, where they’ll discover the dark depths of the Nerubian empire, and the radiant underground region of the Arathi.
Once there, they’ll find Xal’atath, the Harbinger of the Void, who is leading Nerubian forces to threaten Azeroth. To stop him, all Horde and Alliance players will need to meet in the capital city of Dornogal to organize their forces and investigate the motives behind the Harbinger’s plans.
This expansion is the first in a trilogy of new DLCs coming to World of Warcraft, known as the Worldsoul Saga. The War Within will feature iconic characters such as Anduin Wrynn, Thrall, and Alleria Windrunner.
Players will be able to use Dynamic Flying, which was introduced in Dragonflight, to explore new regions, eight new dungeons, and the Nerub’ar Palace raid that will bring Alliance and Horde defenders together.

The World of Warcraft: The War Within will also include new solo content called Delves that will be available throughout the world.
What is new Earthen race in World of Warcraft: The War Within?
The Earthen is a new playable Allied race that can be unlocked in World of Warcraft: The War Within. After completing their questline, players can enlist as this titan-forged race made of living stone.
During your adventure, you’ll first meet the Earthen in Ulduar and other regions. However, the Earthen society has been isolated within Khaz Algar, and you’ll need to explore everything about Earthen politics to restore the Coreway and venture below Dornogol.

WoW: The War Within introduces new region
World of Warcraft: The War Within features four expansive zones of Khaz Algar, the home of the Earthen. This adventure will start on the Isle of Dorn off the western shores of Kalimdor and invite players to descend into The Ringing Deeps.
Once there, they’ll find Hallowfall before getting into Azj-Kahet, the capital of Nerubian society. After players unlock the Earthen race, they also can start their journey in the capital city of Dornogol.
