Wuthering Waves: How to beat Crownless
Where to find Crownless
You’ll unlock the Crownless boss fight after reaching level 35 in Wuthering Waves. You can find Crownless at the northwest of the map, where Memento Square connects to Stone Pile Plain. To start the fight, you’ll need to activate its Resonance Card.
Crownless moveset
Crownless is an Overlord class Tacit Discord that is the incarnation of war which is fueled by the fear of survivors and the hatred of fallen warriors. Its element is Havoc, and its fight is divided into three stages:
- Attempting: Melee combat / AoE shockwave
- Riled up: Speed combos/ Explosive blows
- Fury: Aerial combat/ Tornado columns/ Sweeping strikes
During the initial stage, Crownless will start with melee combat. It will begin throwing slow punches and slamming into the ground to produce an AoE shockwave. After these sets, it will become fully riled up and speed up all its attacks, making it difficult to strike it down.
During the final phase, it will summon a long lance and its cape will be replaced by a pair of large wings This will change Crownless’ combat style. Its wings let it pounce from the air and cast columns of tornados, and its long-ranged attack takes the form of three sweeping strikes that are tricky to dodge.
How to defeat Crownless
The best method to defeat Crownless is to follow the rhythm of its attacks, parry them, and try to stagger the boss when the yellow rings appear. When it becomes Immobilized, use all your Heavy Attacks and your team’s Intro and Outro skills to maximize damage.
Keep in mind that some of its combos can’t be parried, and you’ll need to quickly dodge them instead of facing them straight on.
Using a healing Echo Skill will be crucial if you aren’t able to keep up with Crownless’ pace. This particular boss doesn’t have any elemental weaknesses, but it’s recommended that you use two DPS Resonators and one Support to face him.

Impermanence Heron moveset
The Impermanence Heron is a Havoc Overlord class Tacit Discord and resembles a mutant giant heron with three heads. The game describes that the heads on the left and the right are there to protect the central one.
These are the skills you’ll see the Impermanence Heron use:
- Wing slash /Double wing slash
- Rock summon
- Swoop charge
- Feather Barrage
- Triple Peck Strike
This World Boss makes use of its giant wing span to start the fight with a wing-slash attack. The Heron will use this attack multiple times, but due to its size, it will move very slowly. It will also throw rocks and feathers at the player, followed by a Swoop charge that leaves it vulnerable for a few seconds.
If the player is close enough, the Impermanence Heron will also release a Triple Peck attack, where all three heads will focus on striking the player.
How to defeat Impermanence Heron

Inferno Rider moveset
The Inferno Rider is a Fusion Overlord class Tacit Discord who resembles a biker on a motorcycle. This form is meant to imitate human behavior.
This World Boss has Fusion resistance, and its combos can be difficult to counterattack as its fight has two stages:
- Bike stage: Jousting attack/ Wheelie charge
- Standing stage: Parry/ Melee attack
During its Bike stage, the Inferno Rider will use its long sword to strike down its enemies while riding its bike. It will also perform a wheelie to charge towards players, which can cause devastating damage if you don’t manage to dodge it.
Once the Inferno Rider’s Vibration Strength is depleted, the Standing stage will begin. The rider will get off their vehicle and perform fairly normal melee attacks that can do a lot of damage if they land.
How to defeat Inferno Rider
The Inferno Rider Boss has Fusion resistance, and while it can be tough to parry its combos, a team focused on Aero and Glacio skills can easily take it down. - Teleport
- Slash attack
