HoYoverseHoYoverse has teased most characters that are coming to Genshin Impact 5.0, but only some of them are going to have their own banner. Trusted leakers have discovered that one of the first 5-star characters to be featured is Mualani, who was shown exploring Natlan while riding a shark.

Who is Mualani in Genshin Impact?
Mualani is one of the new characters that was confirmed for Genshin Impact 5.0. According to leaks, she’s a Hydro Catalyst user who can launch homing projectiles.
Does Mualani have a release date in Genshin Impact?
No, HoYoverse haven’t confirmed Mualani’s release date in Genshin Impact yet. However, they confirmed that she’ll be a part of the 5.0 update, which is set to launch on August 28, 2024.
If leaks are correct, Mualani will feature her banner during 5.0 phase 1 and will debut alongside the Wriothesley re-run banner.

Genshin Impact Mualani leaked abilities
Mualani in Genshin Immpact will be a five-star Hydro Sub-DPS character that’s similar to Yelan, according to leaks. These rumors also point out that she has the skill to launch homing projectiles, which can provide damage reduction if they hit three or more enemies.
Dataminers were able to reveal four of Mualani’s constellations, including:
- C1 – When having max stacks, additional HP scaling is applied to Normal Attacks and the homing projectiles.
- C2 – Absorb Sourcewater Droplets to stack some sort of mark.
- C4 – Increases damage of Elemental Burst.
- C6 – Every Normal Attack has the HP Scaling which was previously only accessible by triggering C1.
