Ghosts’s Message of the Day states DLC packs to include bonus weapons, 4-part episodic Extinction experience

The new message of the day in Call of Duty: Ghosts has been updated to talk about the Season Pass for Ghosts. In the message, it seems to confirm that the map packs will be providing bonus weapons, and a unique 4-part episodic Extinction experience.

With the Season Pass, you’ll get 4 downloadable content packs – ONSLAUGHT, DEVASTATION, INVASION, and NEMESIS – providing brand new multiplayer maps, bonus weapons, and a unique 4-part episodic Extinction experience.

Bonus Weapons will be a first for an Infinity Ward game. Treyarch provided one new weapon as part of the first DLC pack for Black Ops 2.

Infinity Ward was ‘looking into’ weapons as part of DLC for MW3, but they didn’t have resources and space left in the game to add anymore. It appears with Ghosts, that they have resolved that issue and can now add weapons with DLC.

Rumors have stated that the first DLC map pack will launch on Jan 28th on Xbox. No official information has been given yet, so stay tuned.
