God of War Ragnarok voice actors: Cast list so far
God of War Ragnarok arrives later in 2022, bringing Kratos and Atreus against even more figures from Norse mythology. From Kratos to Thor, here’s every actor confirmed for God of War Ragnarok so far.
God of War 2018 followed on from the huge success of the original trilogy, introducing an older and more world-weary Kratos and his son Atreus. The soft reboot brought in a brand-new cast and motion-captured animation to bring these characters to life.
The highly-anticipated sequel arrives on November 9, 2022, and a ton of the cast members have been revealed. Here’s every new and returning character and actor in God of War Ragnarok.
But be careful if you haven’t played through God of War 2018, as there are minor spoilers ahead.
Christopher Judge – Kratos
Of course, Christopher Judge returns as Kratos in God of War Ragnarok. After defeating Baldur and reaching Jotunheim, Kratos was pulled back into the Norse world of gods and monsters when Thor turned up at his door at the end of God of War (2018).

Judge is probably best known for playing Teal’c in the Stargate series but has also starred in video games including World of Warcraft and, most recently, Marvel’s Avengers as T-Challa, the Black Panther.
Sunny Suljic – Atreus
God of War Ragnarok continues Kratos and Atreus’ journey across Midgard, and Sunny Suljic reprises the role of Kratos’ son.

Sunny Suljic was a relative newcomer when God of War was released in 2018 and has since starred in Jonah Hill’s Mid90s and The House with a Clock in Its Walls alongside Jack Black and Cate Blanchett.
Ryan Hurst – Thor
God of War fans knew what the sequel would entail when Thor, the Norse god of thunder, turned up at Kratos and Atreus’ door. Ryan Hurst takes on the role, playing what could be Kratos’ most formidable opponent yet.
Although an accomplished actor, God of War Ragnarok will be Hurst’s first-ever video game role. He has previously starred in Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead, and Disney+’s The Mysterious Benedict Society.
Danielle Bisutti – Freya
Ally-turned-antagonist Freya returns in God of War Ragnarok, with Danielle Bisutti reprising her role as the Norse Goddess.
Bisutti will be playing a very different version of Freya than we saw in the first game, with her promising to “rain down every agony, every violation imaginable,” onto Kratos. Bisutti has starred in a ton of film and TV projects, most recently in the TV series Dwight in Shining Armor.
Laya DeLeon Hayes – Angrboda
Laya DeLeon Hayes makes her debut in the God of War Ragnarok as Angrboda, who’s often called the ‘Mother of Monsters’ in Norse mythology. Depending on how close GoW follows the mythology, Angrboda should be a love interest for Atreus.
Hayes provided the voice for Rell in League of Legends and has appeared in The Equalizer TV series and starred in Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny.
Alastair Duncan – Mimir
Alastair Duncan returns in God of War Ragnarok as Mimir, or just ‘Head’ if you’re Kratos, to provide pivotal backstory and exposition for Kratos and Atreus as they journey through Midgard and the Nine Realms.
Most would have heard Duncan’s voice at some point, with the actor providing voice work for a ton of projects including the Mass Effect Trilogy, Uncharted 3, and Modern Warfare 2019. He also voiced Celebrimbor in the Middle-earth games and narrated the God of War novelization.
