God of War Ragnarok voice actors: Cast list so far

From Kratos to Thor, here’s every actor confirmed to appear in God of War Ragnarok which releases in November 2022.

Christopher Judge and Kratos in God of War Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok arrives later in 2022, bringing Kratos and Atreus against even more figures from Norse mythology. From Kratos to Thor, here’s every actor confirmed for God of War Ragnarok so far.

God of War 2018 followed on from the huge success of the original trilogy, introducing an older and more world-weary Kratos and his son Atreus. The soft reboot brought in a brand-new cast and motion-captured animation to bring these characters to life.

The highly-anticipated sequel arrives on November 9, 2022, and a ton of the cast members have been revealed. Here’s every new and returning character and actor in God of War Ragnarok.

But be careful if you haven’t played through God of War 2018, as there are minor spoilers ahead.

Christopher Judge – Kratos

Of course, Christopher Judge returns as Kratos in God of War Ragnarok. After defeating Baldur and reaching Jotunheim, Kratos was pulled back into the Norse world of gods and monsters when Thor turned up at his door at the end of God of War (2018).

Judge is probably best known for playing Teal’c in the Stargate series but has also starred in video games including World of Warcraft and, most recently, Marvel’s Avengers as T-Challa, the Black Panther.

Sunny Suljic – Atreus

God of War Ragnarok continues Kratos and Atreus’ journey across Midgard, and Sunny Suljic reprises the role of Kratos’ son.

Sunny Suljic was a relative newcomer when God of War was released in 2018 and has since starred in Jonah Hill’s Mid90s and The House with a Clock in Its Walls alongside Jack Black and Cate Blanchett.

Ryan Hurst – Thor

God of War fans knew what the sequel would entail when Thor, the Norse god of thunder, turned up at Kratos and Atreus’ door. Ryan Hurst takes on the role, playing what could be Kratos’ most formidable opponent yet.

Although an accomplished actor, God of War Ragnarok will be Hurst’s first-ever video game role. He has previously starred in Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead, and Disney+’s The Mysterious Benedict Society.

Danielle Bisutti – Freya

Ally-turned-antagonist Freya returns in God of War Ragnarok, with Danielle Bisutti reprising her role as the Norse Goddess.

Bisutti will be playing a very different version of Freya than we saw in the first game, with her promising to “rain down every agony, every violation imaginable,” onto Kratos. Bisutti has starred in a ton of film and TV projects, most recently in the TV series Dwight in Shining Armor.

Laya DeLeon Hayes – Angrboda

Laya DeLeon Hayes as Angrboda in God Of War Ragnarok

Laya DeLeon Hayes makes her debut in the God of War Ragnarok as Angrboda, who’s often called the ‘Mother of Monsters’ in Norse mythology. Depending on how close GoW follows the mythology, Angrboda should be a love interest for Atreus.

Hayes provided the voice for Rell in League of Legends and has appeared in The Equalizer TV series and starred in Kung Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny.

Alastair Duncan – Mimir

Mimir in God of War Ragnarok

Alastair Duncan returns in God of War Ragnarok as Mimir, or just ‘Head’ if you’re Kratos, to provide pivotal backstory and exposition for Kratos and Atreus as they journey through Midgard and the Nine Realms.

Most would have heard Duncan’s voice at some point, with the actor providing voice work for a ton of projects including the Mass Effect Trilogy, Uncharted 3, and Modern Warfare 2019. He also voiced Celebrimbor in the Middle-earth games and narrated the God of War novelization.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends players frustrated that Mirage’s abilities are “useless” against Vantage

Mirage players are frustrated that Vantage’s abilities make the Legend “useless” in Apex Legends Season 14.

Mirage in Apex Legends

Apex Legends Season 14 introduced the new Legend Vantage, and players feel that she’s making Mirage’s abilities feel completely “useless” in combat.

Every character in Apex Legends has their own unique set of abilities that are useful in different situations, and Mirage can help you make a quick getaway from overwhelming enemy opposition.

He is able to deploy decoys that will distract your enemies, giving you time to reposition yourself. However, the new Season 14 Legend Vantage has the perfect counter for that, and Mirage mains are extremely frustrated about this new development.

Reddit user ‘PRIYANSHUC15’ shared a clip in the Apex Legends subreddit, and it showed them using Vantage’s Spotter’s Lens and Sniper’s Mark abilities to spot the real Mirage among the decoys.

This irritated the Redditor, who then claimed that Mirage’s abilities are “useless” after Vantage’s arrival. Other players in the thread agreed with this sentiment and expressed their frustration.

Many of the comments explain that it’s pointless to leave out decoys if enemy players have the ability to instantly find the real one. As a result, Vantage’s arrival may make things unbalanced.

One user stated: “As a Mirage main we’re very used to getting shafted to high hell every season so this is nothing new.”

A few players suggested that Vantage being able to spot the real Mirage might be the result of a bizarre glitch. One of the players claimed that they dropped into the game earlier and their passive only scanned the Mirage decoys.

However, another player replied: “It tells you it’s a decoy though so it scans the target and shows it’s a fake”. They then added that it was probably an intentional feature meant to nerf Mirage in the new season.

At the time of writing, it remains to be seen if Respawn Entertainment will respond to these complaints by either buffing Mirage’s ability set or nerfing Vantage. We’ll be sure to let you know if there are any new changes implemented.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Terastal Phenomenon explained: Tera Types & how to Terastallize

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will introduce players to the Terastal Phenomenon. Here’s a guide to Tera Types and how to Terastallize.

Terastal phenomenon Pokemon Scarlet Violet

The Terastal Phenomenon is one of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s new battle features that is set to shake up generation nine. Here’s a detailed explanation of Tera Types and how to Terastallize in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Traditionally, with each new Pokemon generation comes a brand-new battle mechanic to shake up gameplay, and Scarlet & Violet are no different. In the past, we’ve seen brilliant new additions like Mega Evolutions and the Dynamax transformation. This time Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will be treated to the Terastal Phenomenon.

This new battle mechanic available to Pokemon found in the Paldea region will allow them to Terastallize. Terastallized Pokemon will not only take on a shiny new appearance, but they’ll receive a major boost in battle.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Terastal Phenomenon will work in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Terastal Phenomenon explained

sprigatito Pokemon Scarlet Violet Terastallize

Pokemon that undergo Terastallization in battle will appear with a glistening jewel above their head. The Pokemon will take on a shiny crystal-like aesthetic, but the Terastal Phenomenon provides more than just a change in appearance.

Of course, this new battle mechanic can only be performed within the Paldea region, as it is said to originate from the energy that the region stores deep within the ground.

The Terastal Phenomenon is a relatively new concept and even Professor Sada and Professor Turo continue to uncover all of its mysteries.

One thing we do know is that when Pokemon Terastallize, their ability in battle skyrockets. Your Pokemon’s moves will be notably stronger in battle, which will add a new layer of strategy to the game, especially for tough opponents like Gym Leaders.

Given how powerful this new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet mechanic is, it’s no surprise that you can only Terastallize a Pokémon once per battle, and they will maintain this form until the battle comes to a close.

What are Tera Types in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Eevee Pokemon water tera type

Pokemon that Terastallize could take on a new type. Each Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will have a Tera Type. Tera Types determine the type of your Pokemon when they Terastallize.

Oftentimes, your Pokemon’s standard Type will match their Tera Type, but on certain occasions, a Terastallized Pokemon can take on a new type. For example, the Eevee seen in the image above is a Normal-Type Pokemon with a Water Tera Type.

This explains the Water-Type Tera jewel above their head. In this case not only do Eevee’s weaknesses and resistances change to match the Water-Type after Terastallizing, but their Water-Type moves will pack more of a punch.

As the Pokemon Company puts it, “there are 18 types, meaning there are countless combinations of Pokémon and Tera Types.” This adds a whole new layer of strategy to Pokemon battles in Scarlet and Violet.

How to Terastallize in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

You’ll need a Tera Orb item to Terastallize Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet. Furthermore, the Terastal Phenomenon is an exclusive new technique only available to select Trainers. It remains to be seen at what point during your adventure you’ll get a hold of a Tera Orb.

Your Tera Orb will lose its Terastal energy after it’s been used once in battle. To recharge the Tera Orb you’ll either have to visit a Pokemon Center or touch one of the many crystals that contain Terastal energy across Paldea.
