Grand Theft Auto fans are always speculating on when we’ll see the next installment of the legendary franchise, and some have speculated that we could see a GTA 6 announcement during Super Bowl 55.
Since Grand Theft Auto 5 released over seven years ago, the only new content we’ve seen from Rockstar is DLC additions for GTA Online and a new title in Red Dead Redemption 2. Naturally, with time, players are starting to think ahead to the true future of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, and when we might get our hands on it.
Since Super Bowl 54 last February, several fan rumors have arisen speculating that Rockstar was using Vice City references throughout the broadcast to allude to the setting of the next game. These theories are quite convincing, but over a year later, Rockstar has never confirmed they had anything to do with them.
In a Reddit post, user ItsTreDay1 gave a thorough explanation as to why he thinks we could see a reveal at the big game on February 7, and it’s based around The Weeknd’s Half Time Show performance in Florida.
“It’s taking place in Florida again, and The Weeknd is performing at half time,” he writes. “There were tons of rumors of him working with Rockstar last year when his album was announced.”
I could see a 15-30 second commercial of a car starting up, or a cinematic shot of whatever city the game takes place in followed by the Rockstar and GTA VI logo being a VERY SLIGHT possibility.”
The post does make some solid arguments, as it is true that The Weeknd has been linked with a GTA 6 announcement in the past, although the video that raised hopes online using his hit track Blinding Lights turned out to be a hoax.
He also believes that Rockstar’s alleged Super Bowl 54 Vice City teasers coming full circle in Super Bowl 55 would be an impressive “chess move in Rockstar’s marketing plan”. While it’s true that setting up a teaser a year in advance would be an incredible move, Super Bowl ads cost millions of dollars, and with GTA already one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world, would they spend so much money on teasers that didn’t even mention the game?
Of course, it’s not outside the realms of possibility, but with GTA fans so desperate for news on the next game in the series, it could be argued that they are creating links that don’t exist purely out of hope. Fans have resorted to drastic measures to uncover any information, including finding strange files in RDR2 that could pertain to GTA 6.
Thankfully, Super Bowl 55 takes place on February 7, so we won’t have long to wait to see if this prediction comes true.

Best movement tips & tricks every Apex Legends player should know
Apex Legends has some of the smoothest movement in the FPS genre, here are some of the best techniques you can learn to elevate your skill.
Apex Legends has a unique momentum-based movement that players love, from sliding downhills to bouncing off walls. Here’s a guide on all the movement techniques in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale.
Apex Legends has been regarded as one of the best battle royale games of all time by both players and gamers in general, receiving tremendous praise in the past and even in more recent times with IGN’s 2021 Apex Legends review.
In Apex Legends’ current state, movement is still essential to dominating lobbies and becoming a better player. For those interested in getting better at the mechanics of the game and gaining knowledge on how you can gain an advantage against your opponents, here’s a full guide on the best movement techniques in Apex Legends.
Apex Legends best movement tips & tricks
Although it may seem obvious to the more experienced player, slide jumping is still one of the most effective and under-used movement techniques that can really increase your speed in Apex Legends.
Slide jumping allows players to use the momentum from a slide and carry that through to a jump, covering even more distance in a shorter time. Players can also heal just before sliding. This is a vital technique for getting health back whilst also covering a lot more distance and can also be done on Octane’s Jump Pad or Horizon’s Gravity Lift.
This is done by pressing the jump button just as you reach the end of a slide. This is extremely useful for evading enemies and generally getting around the map faster. However, make sure you leave enough time between each slide jump to get a full side consistently.

Many console players who play Apex on the controller don’t take advantage of this trick as they usually have their button layout on default. The default button layout ultimately prevents players from aiming and keeping both thumbs on the analog sticks while jumping around and sliding.
For those really looking to improve on the controller, think about changing your button layout in a way that would allow you to jump and crouch without the need to let go of the analog sticks.
Wall jumping, or tapping is the movement technique in Apex Legends that allows players to spring off surfaces and change directions quickly.
This technique is beneficial for evading enemies and faking out opponents, making players think you are moving in one direction, then quickly wall jumping to go the opposite. The wall jump initially seems complicated, but with some practice, it is effortless.
Players will need to gain momentum by either sprint jumping or slide jumping into a wall at an angle, not head-on. Say you are running straight beside a wall, you will need to quickly jump, face the wall as you take off, and then jump again when in contact with the wall, quickly facing towards the desired direction after the second jump.
Timing is everything here. At the point in which you make contact with the wall, you must press the jump button again and quickly face the direction you want to travel. The best way to learn is in the Firing Range, as once you have the timing down, you will be able to execute the wall jump consistently.
Crouch spamming is a movement technique that will help you win more gunfights rather than increase your speed. The ability to crouch spam and stay on target, and hit your shots is essential to high-level play in Apex.
Most players will strafe during gunfights, which is still equally important, as moving side to side in an irregular pattern will definitely make your opponent miss some shots. However, adding crouch spam to your strafe will tremendously increase your ability to dodge bullets and stay alive, especially to players who go for headshots.
To do this movement, players will need to press the crouch button while strafing and shooting continuously. For controller players, this can again be made easier by biding your crouch to a button that will allow you to aim, for example, the right analog stick.
This movement is fairly easy. However, the hard part is maintaining your aim and focus while in the heat of a fight. Once again, the easiest way to practice this is in the Firing Range.

How to win Warzone Verdansk ’84 Gulag: Tips and strategies guide
The new Warzone Verdansk ’84 map brings back a fan-favorite map for players in the Gulag that you will need to know how to win when playing.
The latest Warzone update has brought the new Verdansk ’84 map and a new Gulag layout for players to battle out their intense 1v1s during Season 3.
In Warzone Season 3, players can finally experience Verdansk ’84, a reimagined version of the classic Warzone map set in the 1980s.
Along with this new map, a new Gulag is also present, which many dedicated Call of Duty players may recognize from Black Ops 2.
For those unaware, the Gulag is where players fight for a second chance after their first elimination, which could either end in them dropping back into the map or being sent back to the lobby, depending on whether they win or those.
Warzone’s Gulag has been updated in the past, with the previous layout taking the form of the Black Ops series most popular map, Nuketown. In Call of Duty Warzone Season 3, the Gulag has taken the layout from fan-favorite Black Ops 2 map, Standoff. Check out the cinematic trailer below.
Although the layout is slightly different, taking on a smaller scale, it will still feel similar to those familiar with the Black Ops 2 map.
The new Warzone Verdansk ’84 Gulag is smaller than the previous Nuketown one, making for intense engagements. The Layout is taken from Standoff’s center, with the tank and building opposite each other.
If players take too long to battle it out, the flag will appear in the center of the map, next to the tank, and just past the wall outside the small building structure.
For those who aren’t aware, the building features a window that looks out on the opposite spawn but is aware as players can also come through the bottom floor or even a ladder at the back.
How to Win Verdansk ’84 Gulag
The best strategy so far seems to be getting to the top floor of the building, whatever side you start on. Be cautious, as both spawns have options to get to the top floor fairly quickly, and you could be staring right at someone as soon as you reach the top.
The top floor is a great spot to take as you can gain an advantage on the opponent if they decide to ignore the building and take the street route where the tank is. Further, the top floor also allows you to peak at the bottom of the building, catching out those opponents who want to sneak through.
It does seem a bit harder for spectators to see what’s going on in the Verdansk ’84 Gulag map, as the walls and building structures mean you might be having to look through the walkway floor to help your teammates with callouts.

Apex Legends Arenas: Release date, maps & rewards
Apex Legends Season 9 will bring a new ‘Arena’ mode for players to enjoy, and here’s everything we know about it, including the release date.
There is a ton of content planned for Apex Legends Season 9, including the introduction of an ‘Arena’ mode to the battle royale. Here’s everything that’s been revealed about it, including the release date, maps & rewards
Respawn Entertainment tends to introduce new game modes to Apex Legends in order to keep it fresh, like the Winter Express LTM. These bring changes to major aspects of the game, including the map, loot, and gameplay.
While they’ve all been battle royale-style modes so far, it seems that’s about to change. Now, a new game mode called Arenas has officially been confirmed for Apex Legends. Here’s what we know about it so far.
When is the Apex Legends Arenas release date?
Respawn previously said that we should expect some big surprises in the coming season.
A full reveal of Arenas mode is planned for Monday, April 26. During this, we’ll get a closer look at how this mode works.
What is the Apex Legends Arenas mode?
The first leak regarding this mode came from notable data miner Shrugtal who pointed out that this may be a 3v3 deathmatch. This fits perfectly in Apex Legends since the battle royale puts emphasis on playing in trios.
Respawn Entertainment suggested that this mode will feel like a “full game,” meaning that we can expect some unique rules, maps, and gameplay mechanics to help it stand out in the battle royale.
Apex Legends Arenas maps
Various Kings Canyon spots were said to have been tested as potential maps for the Arenas mode. These were: Capacitor, Rig, Broken Relay, Gauntlet, Cascades, Repulsor, and Water Treatment.

A rumor began circulating around that Skulltown would also make its comeback as a map for this mode, but there’s nothing that confirms this.
The Ash teaser shows of a location that could be one of these maps, and the Apex Legends 100 million player celebration video shows another possible candidate on Olympus.
Apex Legends Arenas rewards
As with other game modes in Apex Legends, you’ll be able to earn some neat cosmetic rewards such as badgers for your player card. Completing the Arena teaser will grant you the “Impress Me” badge.
While we don’t have more information beyond that, we expect Arenas to contain even more unique awards that are exclusive to this game mode.
Will Arenas mode have Ranked Play?
Apex Legends data miners have stated that Arenas will have a Ranked component, but it’s not clear if this will be connected with the main Ranked tiers of the battle royale.
We won’t know more until some more leaks or official information emerges. As Season 9 draws closer, we’ll keep checking any updates, and will inform you of anything new that we learn.
