A new Rockstar Games job posting appears to lend credence to a recent leak that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be revealed in a GTA Online Remastered live event.

Rockstar Games appear to be sitting on their hands with Grand Theft Auto 6 details, as although anticipation is at an all-time high, the game is yet to be officially announced. As with almost any major release, the game is surrounded by unverified leaks and rumors.

As part of a GTA Remastered leak in May, it was said that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be revealed inside GTA Online in a similar vein to Black Ops Cold War’s reveal in Call of Duty: Warzone. Now, a new Rockstar Games job posting appears to support this leak.

A GTA 5 Remastered leak in May teased some interesting details about the upcoming version for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. While it teased expected updates such as more pedestrians and “improved vehicle physics,” something more interesting caught the GTA community’s eye.

This unverified leak claimed that GTA Online would be “receiving 4 large updates leading into the GTA 6 Marketing Campaign, which will take place over live events.” Fortnite and Warzone have had great success with their live events, so it’s not entirely surprising that Rockstar would want to do something similar.

Many were quick to dismiss this leak, saying that it sounds more like a wish list than legitimate information. However, Rockstar Games are now looking for a Live Operations Coordinator, which could back up this leak.

The job description says that the “role will be responsible for executing all in-game marketing campaigns for Red Dead Online and Grand Theft Auto Online. This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Soho, Manhattan studio.”

We should take all leaks with a grain of salt, but this new job posting appearing to line up with the leak is interesting. Grand Theft Auto 6 probably won’t be revealed for some time, but stay tuned to Charlie INTEL for any future official GTA updates or leaks.
