GTA Online Cayo Perico heist payout revealed
Grand Theft Auto Online’s Cayo Perico Heist event is almost here, and now we know how much you can win in it.
GTA Online’s Cayo Perico Heist is just around the corner and is set to be the biggest event in the game yet. We’re learning new details as it draws near, and now we know what the potential payout will be.
The Cayo Perico Heist is the latest and most highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto Online event yet. Rockstar Games have boasted about it being “biggest, most daring, and action-packed addition” in the game so far, and we’re learning more about it with each announcement.
The event will be the first-ever map expansion in GTA Online. You’ll have to infiltrate a private island owned by a notorious drug dealer, and then steal a piece of evidence. We don’t know the exact heist requirements yet, but the new trailer makes it apparent that you’ll spend a lot of cash on a submarine.
Is it worth it to spend big in order to participate in the Cayo Perico Heist? Well, we may have found the overall payout that you’ll get for your investment, and it’s impressive.
How much is the Cayo Perico Heist payout?
The submarine is heavily armed, and will serve as a place for you and your crew to lay low while you plan your next move. The developers have confirmed that it will also contain a few more surprises that haven’t been revealed yet.
A huge investment like this is only considerable if the expected returns are high. The ever-reliable Tez2 pointed out a potential estimate of the Cayo Perico payout from the latest trailer.
One brief clip shows a screen display of the map’s layout. You can also spot the the cash value of the Madrazo files on the top right corner. They are worth $1.1 million, while the Secondary targets will net approximately $2.8 million.
This makes the total payout around $4 million. Since this will be the first GTA Online heist that you can attempt solo; you can keep all the profits by playing alone. However, your chances of successfully pulling this off will be much greater with a team.
This heist will be a big investment for sure, but it’s worth it to earn some serious cash. You’ll also gain access to various new vehicles and weapons, along with a sweet new submarine HQ. The Cayo Perico Heist arrives to GTA Online on December 16.

Team of the Season is the longest-lasting Ultimate Team promo of the year. The promo begins by highlighting two leagues at a time. Each week new leagues will be the focus of Ultimate Team players as valuable cards get added to packs.
The leagues in the spotlight remain in packs for a week until they’re replaced by the following leagues. However, the final squad in packs is expected to be the “Ultimate TOTS” which combines the best players from each of the previously released TOTS squads.
