Take-Two plans grow GTA Trilogy Remastered hype

Although Grand Theft Auto 6 is still at the forefront of the community’s mind, Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two, has revealed that three unannounced remasters are in development which has further fuelled the GTA Trilogy Remastered rumors.

It’s been confirmed that GTA V will be receiving a current-gen update for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S but there have also been rumors that a GTA Trilogy remaster is in development. Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has previously refused to deny these rumors, and company plans strongly hinted at their arrival.

Now, Take-Two has confirmed that three unannounced remasters are in development, and this has only grown the hype surrounding the GTA Trilogy Remaster.

GTA trilogy remaster

For months, there have been hints, rumors, and leaks that GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas will be receiving a remaster. These were the games to deviate from the top-down view of the classic Grand Theft Auto titles and set the stage for the sensation we know today.

“We don’t just port titles over,” explained Zelnick while discussing GTA V’s remaster. “We actually take the time to do the very best job we can making the title different for the new release, for the new technology that we’re launching it on.”

Take-Two’s company plans revealed that over the next three years, there are plans to release nine titles which are “new iterations of previously released titles.” Now, Take-Two confirmed in an investor presentation in August 2021, that three of these unannounced titles are in development.

This instantly reignited the hype for a GTA Trilogy Remaster, and even for a GTA 4 Remaster. Some fans are also hoping for a remaster of the original Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne games. But for now, there’s no way of knowing if Take-Two would consider a Remastered Trilogy as one title, or three.

There’s still a lot of love for Rockstar’s older titles, and these company plans confirm that exciting times are ahead for GTA and Rockstar fans.

Apex Legends Season 12 is set to launch very soon and we have all of the details on every known change the update will bring to the game.

With every new season of Apex Legends, players expect a heap of changes to come and bring some excitement to the game.

Apex Legends Season 12 was recently announced, and as it is launching soon we thought it would be a great idea to detail all the changes coming in the new update that we know about.

Apex Legends Season 12 Legend Mad Maggie

Like any new season, Apex Legends Season 12 is bringing a brand new Legend to the roster. Mad Maggie will be an Offensive classed Legend with a kit that is built for being fiery and aggressive.

Her relationship with Fuse is bound to be explosive, adding further lore and yet another connection between the Legends. We’ll have to see how strong her kit will be once the season launches on February 8, as Maggie could shake up the meta.

For now, check out our piece on all her abilities.

Olympus changes

Season 12 will also be bringing some changes to the beloved Olympus map. Since arriving in Season 7, Olympus hasn’t seen many significant changes. The launch trailer was revealed on January 27, finally giving fans a sneak peek at the crazy update the map will be getting.

It seems an explosion has caused Olympus to teleport and stabilize just above the city that it was previously floating above. Players will now be able to see the city below, as well as a brand new skybox that seems to be more grounded and within the planet’s atmosphere rather than in the sky.

Further, the launch trailer also revealed a new POI as well, and that the explosion has caused objects and buildings to be misplaced all over the map. You may even see some structures and objects from other maps placed on Olympus after this huge phase explosion shown in the trailer.

Legend buffs & nerfs

We will have a much better understanding of Legend buffs and nerfs when the patch notes are released and we will update this article when the information drops.

Having said that, we know that there are plans to bring changes for Crypto and Pathfinder. Crypto has been needing a rework for some time and Pathfinder is still lacking a personalized Passive ability, so perhaps these are changes that we will see in the Season 12 patch.

Apex Legends Anniversary

Apex Legends Season 12 will also celebrate the game’s third anniversary, with login rewards for players and a possible event filled with new skins.

Not much is known about the anniversary celebration apart from the login rewards, but be sure to stay updated with our guide on the event.

New LTM “Control”

apex legends control LTM

Players will finally be getting a brand new LTM in Season 12 called “Control.” This LTM will see teams of nine players battle it out to take control of three objective points. Although there hasn’t been any indication of setting, we could be seeing a variety of POIs used as maps for this mode.

This mode will be available for the first three weeks of Season 12, but many believe the mode will eventually become permanent, using the three weeks as a play test.

That’s all for the changes coming in Apex Legends Season 12. We will be updating this piece with all the changes when the patch notes are released. For now, be sure to check out the most popular Legends in the current season.

Varane flashback SBC FIFA 22

Manchester United defender Raphaël Varane was already one of the best CBs in the game and his Flashback upgrade is set to take him to the next level. Here’s how you can complete Varane’s FIFA 22 Flashback SBC.

Flashbacks SBCs have been extremely popular in FIFA 22 and Ultimate Team players should be excited to see another top player join the likes of Benzema, Pato, and Kane.

Varane’s Rare Gold card was already a meta defender option and this Flashback upgrade can very well make him the best CB in the game. However, given his club and nationality, Varane is far from an affordable defender.

Ultimate Team players will be required to submit seven squads to get their hands on this mighty CB, and we’ve got the cheapest solution to give you a hand.

Varane is an absolute monster that is sure to improve the majority of squads. Thanks to his French nationality and Premier League association, fitting Varane into squads should be a simple task. For starters, Varane’s pace will allow him to keep up with some of the fastest forwards in the game.

Varane is the most complete defender in the game with very few weaknesses. He can pass well and move the ball up the pitch. Of course, his defending and physical stats are some of the best in the game. Varane will be a brick wall at the heart of your defense.

EA reportedly bans Battlefield 2042 players using RGB software

Battlefield 2042 players claim to have been unfairly banned, and a huge percentage of these players were reportedly using RGB software.

A ton of Battlefield 2042 players claim to have been unfairly banned, and industry insider and journalist Tom Henderson has discovered that 90% of these players were reportedly running RGB software at the time.

Battlefield 2042 suffered a problematic launch, with dwindling player numbers and a reportedly “very disappointed” EA considering making the game free-to-play in some capacity. However, it appears that the problems don’t end there, as waves of Battlefield players claim to have been unfairly banned.

Industry insider Tom Henderson has been looking into this issue and discovered that 90% of these banned users were “running some form of RGB software.”

Battlefield 2042 player dropping into Renewal map

Battlefield 2042 opted to run on Easy Anti-Cheat, the same anti-cheat provider as Apex Legends and Fortnite. While Battlefield 2042 has been relatively cheat-free, perhaps because the game’s performance issues are causing the cheats not to work, players are claiming to have been falsely banned.

After reporting that EA closed a help forum post after there were “163 pages of people trying to figure out why they were false-positive banned in Battlefield 2042,” Tom Henderson shared his findings from talking to over a hundred banned players.

His data revealed that 40% of banned players admitted to playing in Portal XP farms, 48% were running MSI Afterburner, and 90% were running some form of RGB software.

He clarified that the RGB programs “were primarily iCUE and Logitech G Hub,” and Easy Anti-Cheat has a history of falsely flagging RGB as cheat software.

40% of the banned players admitting to using Portal XP farms is interesting, although perhaps not enough to form a correlation. Portal’s servers were full of modes where players could farm low-HP bots for easy kills, and devs Ripple Effect were quick to place a cap on XP.

Henderson explained that although some could argue it was a breach of EA’s Terms of Service, XP farms could “arguably be considered a “feature” of Portal at the time, as DICE and Ripple Effect failed to realize this could be a problem at launch.”

Neither EA nor Easy Anti-Cheat has responded to these false-positive ban claims but we’ll let you know if there are any further updates.
