Rockstar Games have remastered several classic GTA titles, and some new leaks have emerged which suggest that Grand Theft Auto IV might get a rework too in the near future.

The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time, and Rockstar Games have remastered some older titles in the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition that releases on November 11.

This has left fans wondering what the developers are planning next since GTA VI still hasn’t been announced yet. Now, some new leaks suggest that a GTA IV remaster is also on its way.

This information came from industry insider @RalphsValve, who claims that the game is set to receive a remaster in 2023. This will be targeting both current and previous generation hardware, along with PC.

According to the leaker, this remaster will release bundled with Episodes from Liberty City as well. So, you’ll be able to play improved versions of both The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony.

Despite the popularity of GTA Online, Rockstar will reportedly launch the GTA IV remaster without a multiplayer component, with the focus remaining on the single-player story mode.

While this all sounds exciting, it’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, so take them with a grain of salt until we hear something official from Rockstar Games themselves.

That said, if the information is true, we’re bound to get some more updates regarding the GTA 4 Remaster in the coming months. However, this could mean a further delay for GTA 6 while Rockstar work on this project.

While GTA 6 is rumored for a 2024 or 2025 release, this project might push the game’s release even further away. Especially since the highly anticipated sixth entry in the series is said to be in development hell.
