GTA 6 amusement park map leaks debunked
Various rumors pointed to GTA 6 taking players back to Vice City, with a theme park being on the new map. Now, one man has taken credit for setting them up as an elaborate scam.
There is a ton of speculation regarding Rockstar’s GTA 6. While we haven’t gotten much information from the devs, various leaks have given us some indicator of things like the game’s release date.
A Vice City map ‘leaked’ two months ago, with one notable leaker even drawing concept art that supports rumors of that being the game’s setting. We then got a first look at an in-game amusement park.
However, these rumors seem to be an elaborate scam by one man.
GTA 6 was reported to feature a theme park called Fred’s Fun World, with its map layout being leaked online. However, it seems that this was a fake by a man named ‘Tim McDowell.’

A post on Medium goes over why the recent leaks of the GTA 6 map are fake and also has a link to the YouTube video by McDowell.
“That’s right, I did this. I faked all of it,” the post reads. “Every leak regarding GTA VI on the entire internet. It was me. And I will strike again. You’ll never see me coming.”
The video itself features ‘Clubbed to Death’ by Rob Dougan playing as the “leaker” showcases the entire GTA 6 map from a new camera angle.
Many users on Reddit found the amusement park map to be very detailed, and it seemed in line with Rockstar’s usual humor. In his video, McDowell talked about this leak, mainly Fred Quincy himself.

“Dear GTA community, I have an IQ of 198,” said the leaker. “My goals are beyond your understanding. My graphic design skills are mediocre at best.”
The user then signed off after warning fans that they’d strike again, and the community would have to put up with more fake leaks. Hopefully, we’ll get some official GTA 6 content from Rockstar soon enough.
