How to use hydraulics in GTA Online

Hydraulics were introduced in the GTA Online Lowriders update, so they’ve been in the game for a while. However, you don’t see them used as often as they should be. To use hydraulics in GTA Online, you need to take a custom version of a car to Benny’s Original Motor Works.

Hydraulic systems can only be put on custom versions of pre-existing vehicles. Low-powered hydraulics are automatically fitted to custom cars, but they can be upgraded to become more powerful. These hydraulic systems can cost anywhere from $125,000 to $290,000.

Once you have the hydraulic system installed, you can instantly start bumping around the streets of Los Santos. Here is how to use the GTA Online hydraulics on PlayStation and Xbox:

  • Hold X/A to extend the height of the car
  • Press X/A again to hop
  • Tap X/A to do a quick hop
  • Hold X/A and move the left stick to raise the front or back of the car
  • Flick or Double Tap the left stick while holding X/A to bounce the front or back of the car

You hold X on PlayStation and A on Xbox to control the Hydraulics. Try experimenting on your own to see what you can pull off.
