How to clear your bounty in Starfield
BethesdaStarfield has a detailed bounty system that can often punish players if they choose to commit crimes. Stirring up trouble will often lead to bounty hunters chasing after you, so here’s how to clear your bounty in Starfield.
Starfield is a great example of the traditional Bethesda style when it comes to RPGs. The space-based game features many diverse companions, a large armory arsenal of weapons, and tons of important choices. In addition, the game’s bounty system is quite similar to the ones found in prior Bethesda titles such as Skyrim.
The bounty system in Starfield is the game’s counter against you engaging in activities like smuggling contraband, stealing items, and hurting civilians. Once you’re in the system, a relentless stream of bounty hunters and authorities is bound to be on your tail.
With this in mind, here’s how to clear your bounty in Starfield.
How to get rid of your bounty in Starfield
To remove your bounty in Starfield, you must visit a Trackers Alliance Self-Service Bounty Clearance Kiosk. At these kiosks, you can clear your bounty for a price, however, you must make sure to visit a kiosk in the region where you committed the crime, otherwise, you will be denied the service.
These Bounty Clearance Kiosks are white and red and can be found throughout the game world, more specifically at Civilian Outposts and Spaceport Bars. A few examples include the Neon’s Astral Lounge, Cydonia’s Broken Spear, and the Viewport, which is located in New Atlantis.
Depending on your crimes, you may have to spend up to 100,000 credits to clear your name. If it’s something minor like pickpocketing, the price will be much lower.
Keep in mind that if you fail to visit a Bounty Clearance Kiosk and pay, you will be thrown into jail if you get caught by the authorities, so watch out!
