How to use Mass Subs in College Football 25
EA SportsThe College Football 25 1.010 update finally added Mass Subs to the game, which was a highly requested feature from the community.
Due to the lengthy nature of the College Football season, injuries to crucial players have been unnecessarily common in the game. In real life, coaches take cautionary measures like subbing out the starting pack to put in a second unit to prevent this. However, CFB25 did not have this option at launch, resulting in frequent injuries during Dynasty runs.
Players online called for the feature in droves and it has now been added to the game. With this in mind, here’s how to use Mass Subs in College Football 25 Dynasty.
How to make Mass Subs in CFB25
- Start a game in Dynasty mode.
- Open the pause menu and scroll down to the ‘Coaching’ tab.
- Select ‘Mass Sub Backups’ and confirm the changes.
Once you confirm the change, all the players on your bench will take the field in their respective positions. You can revert the change by following the same steps. This also works inversely, so you can start the game with your second unit and sub on the full group of your starters.
It’s worth noting that the Mass Subs option is only available while playing against the AI during both online and offline Dynasty. Also, keep in mind that the option can fail to recognize redshirted players, which could mess with their status.
The Wear & Tear system in the game realistically tracks collisions, meaning your starters will incur injuries on different parts of their body. This doesn’t just affect their performance, as forcing them to play through the pain can result in severe injuries with long recovery times. It’s worth using Mass Subs when you’re faced with a similar situation, especially if the game’s result is beyond changing.
There’s more to College Football 25’s Dynasty mode than just team management, so make sure to check out the best defensive and offensive playbooks to set your side up for success.
