Marvel Rivals is set to undergo a second round of testing, this time in the form of a Closed Beta. The 6v6 shooter from NetEase previously invited a small number of players to a Closed Alpha that kicked off on May 10.
The Closed Alpha put the game through its paces and now the devs have revealed concrete information regarding the next testing period. If you’re looking to check out the game, here’s everything to know about the Closed Beta.
Start date
The Closed Beta will kick off on July 23 and run until August 5. The devs confirmed the test period window through a blog post on the game’s official website. This means that players will have access to Marvel Rivals for almost two weeks.
How to join
To join the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta Test, PC players will need to go to the game’s Steam page on July 20 and click on “Request Access” under “Join Marvel Rivals Playtest” to sign up.
Console players need to fill out this questionnaire to have a chance at participating in the Closed Beta. The form features questions related to platforms, gaming preferences, regions, and more. If selected, you’ll receive an email from the devs. The beta test is exclusive to these regions –
- North America
- Europe
- Asia
Players who reached level 10 during the Closed Alpha Test are automatically qualified for the next playtest. Players who meet this criteria simply need to update their game once the test goes live to join in.
Closed Beta platforms
Unlike the Closed Alpha, the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta will be available on multiple platforms including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game also supports full crossplay between all platforms, which lets players team up with their friends on different platforms.
The addition of consoles should result in even more players looking to sign up for the Closed Beta. The test period will also provide a look at how the game performs on Xbox and PlayStation.
PS5 players who participate in the Closed Beta will be able to grab an exclusive Scarlet Spider skin for Spider-Man.
