Pokemon Go City Safari 2023: Skiddo debut, tickets, Special Research & more

Pokemon Go City Safari is the new installment of the Pokemon Go Safari Zone event. Niantic have announced some changes that will spice things up for Pokemon Go players and communities in different cities around the world.

Pokemon Go developers have been pretty active lately, introducing the new Routes feature and the Adventure Week event. They also recently introduced Zygarde, and many players are still struggling trying to farm its Cells.

Now, we have learned that Pokemon Go City Safari 2023 is starting soon, and its tour around the world will be visiting certain cities where their lucky Pokemon Go communities will be overjoyed to participate. Here’s everything we know about the event, including dates, tickets, Pokemon spawns, and more.

Pokemon Go City Safari dates

This is a list of all the places that Pokemon Go City Safari is going to be touring, along with details about starting dates and times.

As you can see, this year, Pokemon Go City Safari is going to be held in Seoul, Barcelona, and Mexico City. Next, we’ll cover live event tickets and their prices.

Pokemon Go City Safari tickets

Pokemon Go players will be able to purchase a Pokemon Go City Safary event Ticket to participate in the live event held in each of the three cities. Live event tickets for Seoul cost ₩11,000. Pokemon Go City Safari tickets in Barcelona will cost €12. And those Mexico City trainers who want to participate in their City Safari will have to pay MX$150 to get the Live Event Ticket.

Pokemon Go City Safari Skiddo debut

Pokemon Go devs announced that Skiddo is making an official debut during the Pokemon Go City Safari event. Players who purchased a Live Event Ticket will have the chance to capture this goat Pokemon and its shiny version.

Pokemon Go City Safari bonuses

Bonuses for participating in Pokemon Go City Safari are going to be interesting, so, if you have the chance to be around those cities, here’s what you need to know about them:

  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 4 hours.
  • Five Special Trades can be made during the event.
  • Special Field Research tasks can be found in PokeStops.
  • Trades between players will cost 50% less Stardust.
  • Pokemon Buddies will be able to find special souvenirs.

Pokemon Go City Safari Spawns

The following Pokemon will be spotlighted during the Pokemon Go City Safari event. Here’s a detailed list of the featured Pokemon spawns in each city. Trainers will also have a chance to encounter an event-themed Eevee with an explorer hat.

Barcelona

The following Pokemon and their shiny version will have a boosted spawning chance:

  • Dunsparce
  • Gible
  • Goldeen
  • Karrablast
  • Hippopotas
  • Hitmontop
  • Loudred
  • Magikarp
  • Relicanth
  • Sandshrew
  • Sandygast
  • Shuckle
  • Skiddo
  • Squirtle

  • Unown B
  • Unown C
  • Unown N
  • Zangoose

The following Pokemon will have a boosted spawning rate. But not their shiny version:

  • Vanillite
  • Anorith

Pokemon Go players participating in the event will have a chance to catch Eevee wearing a Safari Cap.

Mexico

The following Pokemon and their shiny version will be spotlighted during the event:

  • Axew
  • Baltoy
  • Cacnea
  • Charmander
  • Cubone
  • Duskull
  • Ekans
  • Kricketot
  • Lotad
  • Paras
  • Pineco
  • Purrloin
  • Rufflet
  • Seedot
  • Skiddo

Additionally, the following Pokemon will have increased spawning rate, but not their shiny form:

  • Emolga
  • Hawlucha

Axew, Tropius, and Skiddo will be some of the Pokemon featured in Mexico City Pokemon Go Safari.

Seoul

The following Pokemon and their shiny version will have a boosted spawning chance:

  • Heracross
  • Joltik
  • Minun
  • Murkrow

Additionally, the following Pokemon will have a boosted spawning rate, but not their shiny version:
