Halo Infinite actor suggests a November 2021 release date
It appears that Halo’s own Verlon Roberts has accidentally leaked the upcoming release date of Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite has been for some time now, widely accepted by the Halo community to be released in 2021. For the most part, fans have accepted we’ll see the game in the second half of 2021, perhaps closer to the holiday season. Unfortunately, this meant fans did not know the exact release month of the upcoming hit title, that is until now.
In an interview on YouTube with the Fadam And Friends podcast, Verlon Roberts, the voice actor for “Spartan Griffin” spilled the beans on the release date for Halo Infinite, which has still been unannounced by developer 343 Industries.
(Topic starts at 1:10:48)
In the interview above, Roberts states “The video game (Halo Infinite) was supposed to already be out, but with the pandemic and everything, they (343 Industries) had some leadership changes so now it’s being pushed to a later November release this year.”
Of course, this off-the-cuff remark is far from confirmation that Halo Infinite will release in November, but it’s the first piece of specific information we have on a Halo Infinite release date.
If this is accurate, it puts the new Halo into the October/November release window – competing with games like Call of Duty and the rumored new Battlefield game, if Dice decides to ship later this year.
We’re excited to see the full release of Halo Infinite, which will be releasing on the Xbox platform and PC with crossplay available. This will also be the first Halo game to release on the Steam store at launch.
With a rumored Battlefield, Call of Duty 2021, and Halo Infinite all possibly releasing in the same year, we cannot help ourselves but feel nostalgic for the Xbox 360 gaming days.
We’ll be sure to update if we hear any more information regarding the release of Halo Infinite.
