Halo Infinite fans are eager to get their hands on the latest multiplayer installment of the classic shooter series. However, devs have warned that players shouldn’t expect remakes of classic maps when Halo Infinite drops on Xbox Series S / X and PC later this year.
However, devs have explained that they won’t be keeping up the series tradition of releasing exact remakes of classic Halo maps in favor of “spiritual reboots.”
Speaking in a sitdown with IGN, Lead Multiplayer Designer Andrew Witts of 343 Industries said that he and his team have discussed remakes of old maps but want to move away from them with Halo Infinite.
Instead, he said that Infinite’s multiplayer will focus more on subtle callbacks to old maps, rather than being a carbon copy. He mentions that the Big Team Battle Map Fragmentation is influenced by the Valhalla map and its remake Ragnarok.
“I think that what we’ve done with Fragmentation is something we want; we want things to feel new, but we want things to be a bit reminiscent without giving you the exact same layout,” he said. “We’re a different game with different needs.”
Lead Multiplayer Level Designer Cayle George also revealed that the team came to this decision after trying one-to-one ports of maps from past Halo games, but said they “don’t work well.”

“There are some maps that have been coming out in almost every single iteration of Halo. So I wouldn’t say we would never do a remake,” said George.
“But we’re doing a spiritual reboot, so we look at how we kind of put our own twist on it, but still make it feel like a little bit of a nostalgia trip when you kind of run through them.”
While this news may come as a slight disappointment to fans of the classic Halo maps, it will be interesting to see how and where parts of the old staples will pop up in these new arenas.
Halo Infinite drops on December 8, 2021, for Xbox consoles and PC, so stay tuned on Charlie INTEL for the latest news up to and after launch.

How to complete FIFA 22 Player Moments Vardy SBC
A Moments Vardy SBC is up for grabs during the FIFA 22 Shapeshifters promo and here’s the cheapest solution for Ultimate Team players.
FIFA 22 players will have a chance to secure a 96-rated Premier League winger via SBC during the Shapeshifters promo. Here’s how to complete the Player Moments Vardy SBC, along with the cheapest solutions.
EA’s follow-up to Team of the Season has been an incredible success with players enjoying everything Shapeshifters has to offer. Players currently have their hands full collecting Summer Swaps Tokens, but you won’t want to miss this Vardy SBC.
EA have listed this SBC as a Shapeshifters Player Moments item which combines the promo’s position change with the celebration of an iconic moment. This Vardy SBC is set to celebrate his performance against Manchester United in the 2014/2015 season.
Here’s how to complete the Player Moments Vardy SBC, along with the cheapest solutions.
FIFA 22 Player Moments Vardy stats
For starters, Jamie Vardy has never felt like the most dynamic player in FIFA 22, but the 4* skill moves and 5* weak foot upgrade should add to his unpredictability.
Thanks to his LW position change, Vardy is an excellent option for Premier League squads. For most, Shapeshifters Ronaldo, Fantasy FUT Rashford, and TOTS Mane will be out of reach which makes Vardy a great alternative.
Of course, Vardy is known for his pace and prowess in front of goal which explains the 99 Finishing, 99 Positioning, 99 Shot Power, 98 Acceleration, and 97 Sprint Speed.
How to complete FIFA 22 Moments Vardy SBC
To complete this SBC, players will need to give up three squads: England, Premier League, and 86-Rated Squad. With a value of around 335,000 coins, Vardy is not as overpriced as previous Premier League SBCs in FIFA 22.
You can check out the cheapest solution below.
- # of players from England: Min 1
- # of TOTW or TOTS players: Min 1
- Squad Rating: Min 84
- Team Chemistry: Min 70
England solution – Cost: 83,500 coins
Premier League requirements
- # of players from the Premier League: Min 1
- # of TOTW or TOTS players: Min 1
- Squad Rating: Min 85
- Team Chemistry: Min 65
Premier League solution – Cost: 121,000 coins
86-Rated Squad requirements
- Squad Rating: Min 86
- Team Chemistry: Min 60
86-Rated Squad solution – Cost: 135,000 coins
The Player Moments Vardy SBC will be available for one week as it expires on July 5. The three squads shouldn’t set you back too much but you’ll need to expend two TOTS or TOTW players in total.
Vardy is not a meta-defining player at this stage of the game, but he can certainly improve Premier League squads that aren’t utilizing one of the top players in the game like Ronaldo or Mane.

Speaking to Fast Company, Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said that Fortnite Creative 2.0 will allow players to “build very high-quality game content and code . . . and deploy it into Fortnite without having to do a deal with us–it’s open to everybody.”
Similar to Roblox, Fortnite’s Unreal Editor will allow creators to monetize their content. “We’re building an economy,” explained Sweeney. “It will support creators actually building businesses around their work and making increasing amounts of profit from the commerce that arises from people playing their content.”
Fortnite Creative 2.0 release window
Fortnite Creative 2.0 is set to arrive at some point in 2022, likely in the final few months of the year.
Tim Sweeney gave an update on June 28, saying that Creative 2.0 is “Still on track for this year, but not ‘soon.'” So it’s unlikely that Fortnite Creative’s major overhaul will arrive during summer, but we could see it towards fall or winter.
HYPEX believes we’ll see it during Chapter 3 Season 4, which is set to go live in September 2022.

Apex Legends dev confirms fix for Ranked stream-sniping issues coming soon
The Apex Legends devs have confirmed a fix for the exploit allowing Bronze players to stream-snipe in high-Ranked lobbies.
Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that they’re currently working on a fix for the exploit that allows bronze Apex Legends accounts to stream-snipe players in high-Ranked lobbies.
Apex Legends players have dealt with their fair share of cheaters using frustrating exploits, such as the recent one that allowed players on Xbox consoles to completely crash the game’s servers.
Another exploit that’s particularly irritating is one that lets newly-made bronze accounts to immediately get into high-ranked lobbies to stream-snipe players. Now, Respawn Entertainment have responded to this issue.
In Ranked play, Apex Legends players have to play extremely well if they want to climb the ladder and access high-Ranked lobbies. However, cheaters were able to bypass this by using an exploit that lets them sneak into theses lobbies and take out the top players.
Pro player ‘HisWattson’ complained about this issue on Twitter, stating that it’s irritating to report cheaters only to encounter them again in different games. This caught the attention of the developers.
Apex’s Security lead Conor Ford confirmed that the devs are aware of the problem: “I can say that the bronze issue is currently being worked on as well so hopefully you won’t be seeing that soon.”
He didn’t provide any details about when exactly this fix will be implemented in the game, but it’s reassuring to know that Respawn Entertainment are aware of the problem and are currently looking into it.
This exploit allows previously-banned players to pop up and start causing problems in high-ranked lobbies. Hopefully, the Apex Legends update patch containing the fix for the exploit will arrive soon.
