Halo Infinite leak claims battle royale won’t release for a long time
There have been rumors of a Halo Infinite battle royale mode for a while now, and a new leak suggests that we won’t see this mode arrive for quite some time.
Halo Infinite had a successful launch back in 2021, with many players considering the game to be a return to form for the series, and the Season 2 update added content like a brand-new Battle Pass, maps, and modes.
There have been rumors pointing to the arrival of a battle royale mode in Halo Infinite, and a new leak has emerged, suggesting that we might not see this mode get released for a long time.
Leaker ‘Sean W’ revealed new details about the content that 343 Industries have planned for Halo Infinite, and this includes the battle royale mode. According to this leak, this mode won’t arrive until Fall 2023 at the earliest.
The leaker stated: “They are gonna try to get it out as soon as possible but it’s definitely not coming this year. They’re playtesting the map right now, but apparently, even just the map needs a whole lot of work.”
Sean W claimed that the map for the Halo Infinite battle royale mode will feature an integration of two maps from Halo 2 and Halo 3, and these might be set on a halo ring. The leaker also added that the battle royale will include “lootboxes with tiered versions of all the weapons.”
While this sounds promising, it’s worth keeping in mind that this is just a leak, and Sean W stated that his source is not “anyone publicly associated with 343.” For this reason, you should take this information with a grain of salt.
