Halo Infinite’s first season of the Multiplayer Beta was officially released during the November 15 Xbox Anniversary live stream event.

Both Call of Duty: Vanguard and Battlefield 2042 have arrived, which leaves only Halo Infinite – perhaps the most anticipated FPS launch of the year. While the campaign is definitely a draw for Halo players, it’s the new free-to-play multiplayer and its weapons and maps that determine how the game is received in the community.

After several technical flight tests, 343 Industries settled for a December 8 launch. While this is still true for the Campaign, 343 officially launched the first season of Multiplayer November 15.

The developers wanted to do something special for Xbox’s 20th anniversary., so they decided to use the platform to release the first season of the new installment to the Halo franchise.

This free-to-play Multiplayer beta will include:

  • Access to all the maps,

Another important thing to note is that all progression made during the Multiplayer Beta will carry over to the main game upon the official release on December 8.

Season 1 of Halo Infinite is officially called Heroes of Reach. The first season will last 6 months, concluding in May 2022.

The developers have also confirmed that the season will include “multiple in-game events with their own rewards and activities.”
