There has been mass speculation about a potential battle royale mode in the highly-anticipated Halo Infinite, and popular streamer Dr Disrespect claims to have “inside information” about it.

Halo Infinite is one of the most anticipated games of 2021, as fans keep checking for any news ahead of its December 8 launch. One of the biggest rumors surrounding the game is that it will feature a Battle Royale mode.

This has previously been hinted at through some leaked audio files. Now, popular streamer Dr Disrespect has added fuel to this rumor with some “inside information” about an upcoming Battle Royale mode.

The Doc was in a stream with Z_Laner playing Warzone. While talking about Battle Royales, he made the claim that he was ‘in the know’ regarding an upcoming announcement.

“From what I’ve heard, 300 players, set loop, power weapons on the map, the map designed around the power weapons and locations and points of interest,” said Dr Disrespect.

He claimed that this was all inside information that he had received, and he expects it to feel “really good, supposedly, super optimized.”

The Doc stated that it was a technical Alpha test for a future Battle Royale, and he was very impressed with what he saw. The mention of “power weapons” is a strong hint that 343 Industries might be working on that mode for Halo Infinite.

However, it’s worth keeping in mind that the streamer tends to joke a lot, so he could just be saying all of this out of jest. So, it’s worth taking this information with a grain of salt until we get some official confirmation from the devs.

Hopefully, we’ll see a battle royale mode when the game finally releases. For more Halo, stay tuned to Charlie INTEL, and check out our guide on how to sign up and play the Halo Infinite multiplayer preview beta.
