How to fix Halo Infinite blue screen error
Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer is finally here, but some players are facing an unfortunate blue screen error. No worries! Here is how you can fix the Halo Infinite blue screen.
After 343 Industries surprisingly announced the launch of Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer during the Xbox 20th Anniversary live show, players flooded the server. With the massive wave of players rushing into Halo Infinite, 343 Industries anticipated there would be issues.
In a blog post, Halo Support goes as far as to acknowledge some of the potential bumps players might encounter. However, an impassable blue screen on launch was not one of these issues.
Nontheless, Halo Support was quick to issue a fix and now players can avoid the blue screen entirely. Here is how to fix the Halo Infinite blue screen error.
Fixing Halo Infinite’s Blue Screen
In order to fix the blue screen error, Halo Support recommends you download the Halo Infinite beta and then restart your console or Xbox app on PC. You may also need to hard restart your console or PC to resolve the issue. There should also be an update for those who already have the beta installed.
If this does not work, check your game library to see if you have the Halo Infinite placeholder installed. You will need to delete the placeholder and then download the Halo Infinite Beta from the store.
If that still doesn’t fix the blue screen error, you may need to file a Halo Support ticket. You can do so by visiting support.halowaypoint.com and selecting Halo Infinite.
Seeing as the game has just entered beta for all players, this likely won’t be the only issue that 343 Industries will have to fix. However, extensive flight testing beforehand should help in avoiding these issues.
