Welt’s abilities in Honkai Star Rail explained

Welt, also known as Joachim Nokianvirtanen, is a five-star Imaginary element character in the Path of The Nihility in Honkai Star Rail. As such, Welt specializes in debuffing and weakening enemies.

He has the following abilities in Honkai Star Rail:

• Gravity Suppression (Basic attack) – Deals single-target Imaginary DMG equal to 50%–130% of Welt’s ATK.
• Edge of the Void (Skill) – Deals single-target Imaginary DMG equal to 36%–90% of Welt’s ATK and further attacks a random enemy two times with each time dealing Imaginary DMG equal to 36% / 82.8% / 90% of his ATK. On a hit, there is a 65%–80% base chance that the enemy’s SPD is reduced by 10% for 2 turns.
• Synthetic Black Hole (Ultimate) – Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 90%–180% of Welt’s ATK to all enemies and there’s a 100% base chance that the targetted enemies will enter the Imprisoned stage. Imprisoned enemies’ actions are delayed by 32%–44% and their SPD reduces by 10%.
• Time Distortion (Talent) – Welt deals Additional Imaginary DMG equal to 30%–75% of his ATK to slowed enemies.
• Gravitational Imprisonment (Technique) – After using Welt’s Technique, create a dimension that lasts for 15 seconds and all the enemies in this dimension have 50% less movement SPD. If you enter the battle with enemies in the dimension, there’s also a 100% chance of them getting Imprisoned. Imprisoned enemies’ actions are 20% late and their SPD is reduced by 10%. Only 1 dimension created by allies can exist simultaneously.

Welt is a very versatile character that can fill different positions in your team. You’ll want to improve his CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate as well as Effect Hit rate to have better use of his abilities.

Sprightly Vonwacq is another Planar Ornament that works well with this character.
