Who is Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae in Honkai Star Rail?

As you might have guessed from his design and name, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is Dan Heng‘s new form in Honkai Star Rail. Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae is the previous incarnation of Dan Heng, and they’re the one responsible for the atrocities mentioned in Dan Heng’s backstory.

According to Honkai Star Rail’s official lore, he’s a “High Elder of the Luofu, bearer of the Azure Dragon’s legacy, and entrusted with the duty of guarding the Ambrosial Arbor.” Players that played through the 1.2 update and reached the end of the Xianzhou Luofu storyline already met him after an epic duel with Yanqing.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae release date in Honkai Star Rail

HoYoverse have confirmed that Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae will arrive in Honkai Star Rail with update 1.3, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. The character was officially revealed at the start of July through HoYoverse’s official channels.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae will headline the first phase of the 1.3 banners alongside Yukong, Asta, and March 7th.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae leaked abilities in Honkai Star Rail

Leakers shared many details regarding Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae and his abilities in Honkai Star Rail. Unlike Dan Heng, Imbibitor Lunae is a five-star Imaginary element character in the Path of The Destruction.

According to leaks, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae will have the following abilities when released in Honkai Star Rail:

• Beneficient Lotus (Basic Attack – Single Target) – Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 100% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy.
• Transcendence (Basic Attack – Single Target) – Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 260% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy.
• Divine Spear (Blast) – Unleash a 5-hit attack to deal Imaginary DMG equal to 380% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy. From the fourth hit onward, it also deals Imaginary DMG to adjacent targets.
• Fulgurant Leap (Blast) – Unleash a 7-hit attack to deal Imaginary DMG equal to 500% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy. From the fourth hit onward, it also deals Imaginary DMG to adjacent enemies.
• Unrestrained (Skill) – Enhances Basic ATK. Can be applied up to 3 times consecutively and it doesn’t consume Skill Points.
  • Enhancing Basic ATK “Beneficient Lotus” one time transforms Basic ATK into “Transcendence.”
  • Enhancing Basic ATK “Beneficient Lotus” two times transforms Basic ATK into “Divine Spear.”
  • Enhancing Basic ATK “Beneficient Lotus” three times transforms Basic ATK into “Fulgurant Leap.”
• Cleansing of the World (Ultimate) – Deals Imaginary DMG equal to 300% of Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s ATK to a single enemy target and additional Imaginary DMG equal to 140% of his ATK to adjacent targets, obtaining two Squama Sacrosancta. Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae may consume an equivalent number of Squama Sacrosacanta instead of Skill Points.
• Righteous Heart (Talent) – Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae gains one stack of Righteous Heart after each hit unleashed during an attack. Righteous Heart increases his DMG by 14% and can be stacked up to six times. These stacks last until the end of his turn.
• Heaven-Quelling Prismadrakon (Technique) – After using his Technique, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae Imbibitor Lunae enters the Leaping Dragon state for 20 seconds. While in that state, using his attack causes him to move forward rapidly for a set distance, attacking all enemies he touches and blocking all incoming attacks. Upon entering combat in this state, deals Imaginary DMG equal to 120% of his ATK to all enemies and gains one Squama Sacrosancta.

According to this information, Trailblazers are in for a treat with Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae. The five-star character seems extremely powerful, although players already expect nerfs to arrive when he’s officially released.

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae Light Cone in Honkai Star Rail

Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae leaks also anticipated his Honkai Star Rail signature Light Cone called ‘To the Death’. Here’s its leaked description:

To the Death

Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 18%. When the wearer uses their Basic ATK, they will gain one stack of Dragon’s Call for two turns. Each stack of Dragon’s Call increases the wearer’s ATK by 12% and Energy Regeneration Rate by 7%. Dragon’s Call can be stacked up to two times.
